The money pit
04/22/10 7:24 PM

Does anyone else need one of those trees that sprouts money in the backyard !!!!!!! Well this is my baby she still is an ongoiong thing I'm currently waiting on some carbon heel gaurds and tripple claamp protector then I will get the side fins done in carbon also only mods that are done are a full titanium dual CT Brocks system "the neighbours love mr brock for that one" hahahahaha K&N air filter full mapping from Brocks plenty of others little speccy bits here and there one of the best things I did was get the suspension internals all re-worked its now able to go round corners a little bit sure footed scares the crap out some of those 1000 cc boy racers when you take them on the inside and accelerate at warp factor 9 away from them

Hope you enjoy the pics
Cheers Benny

Hi Scotty the easiest way to do it is go to a reputable suspension guy and before you get any work done ask them to adjust the suspension already on the bike to suit you they should hopefully put a heap more preload on the front and also play with your dampening all round just to quicken it all up a bit get the suspension reacting faster. Then you should see if that helps you out because if it does you wont have to spend any more money. Mine didnt so for my size 5 10" and 90 kg I got a heavier spring set in the front not by much though also followed by heavier weighted oil and all the internal porting disc's changed to a much larger diameter hole sizes to allow far better and quicker oil flows through the shocks. Found that the back was actually quite good stock on its settings so all that was done was a re-valve same as the front and a higher weighted oil and some very minor preload adjustments all to suit me. All the internals were wilbers parts and it was the cheaper option than replacing the whole complete suspension system. hope that helps a bit

Benny... Just how loud is that exhaust? Is it reasonable at idle and low RPM? I really want a set, but I do have concern over how loud. Dont get me wrong, I like an aggressive exhaust, but I dont want to piss the neighbors off everytime i pull it out of the garage. I have heard people say that is is no were near as load as the AH or Tsukigi cannon, your opinion please.

not all that loud except when you first start it up in the morning and the automatic idle sits at around 2000 it can be a bit noisey but at normal idle it just sounds meaty and very angry definately nothing like like other systems that I have heard.... I could post a sound bit thingo but you never get the sound quality in them, put it this way I have not heard anyone say oh my god thats loud. Even my mum thinks it sounds awesome hahahaha

Your right, the sound clips just dont accuretly capture the real sound. I really love the looks of this exhaust, looks great on your bike. I'm just a little more cautious than normal, after all it's a monumental expense, gotta get it right the first time. Did you notice a big difference in power after bolting the system on? Did you do anything other than the power commander?

nah just the pc111 and a K&N air filter with brocks street map thats all. I have not been all that bothered with pulling the secondaries and all that stuff I'm still in two minds to take it any further. As with a big difference with power its a little hard to tell as I was still running the bike in when I fitted the exhaust so I'm use to it now. My biggest reason for the exhaust is its a rare one here in Australia different from the rest of the croud and secondly for the sound as the bike was deathly quiet as stock and no bike is supposed to sound like an 90 year old with lung trouble

Nice bike! Some day I'll get a decent camera and post pics of mine. I'm going with the 4-2-1 Akrapovic full system on mine when money will allow for it.

To be absolutely perfectly honest with you, I have never watched any kind of combat movie or show. I lived it for 2 straight years. That was enough for me.

I was in for 4 years also 1988 to 1992. Did basic at Fort Lost in the Woods Mizzu. By the way I love my CT duals. I have about 2500 miles on them now. There was a very noticable difference in power with the exhaust and the PCV.

Cool man you will love the pipes. Let me know how the engine ice works out. I would have went back with the ice but I took HUBs route and removed the bottom bolt on the radiator then tie wrapped it up, didn't have to remove the fluid. There have been a few days in the upper 80s here and I still hang around 3 bars in traffic sometimes it will go up to 4 if I sit for a while. Seems like the hotter it is the better it runs.
