What what in yo butt
11/25/16 3:42 PM

It's been a good long while since I last posted in here. What's happening fellas? Anything new, fun, or interesting?

After years working on the floor I finally splurged on a new bike lift. Oh, and the bike has gone through a few changes since I last posted any pics.

Yes, I sure did! It was probably the best ever or at least tied for best with 2010. I have moved from Milwaukee to MI and found some exciting roads, cops not too bad for speeding as far as I can tell (though I definitely do my best to not be seen by anyone), did some hard cornering early in the season and later, had my first experiences with self tuning with AutoTune. Overall it was a very fun and enlightening spring and summer. My bike's changed a little but not nearly to the proportions of yours. Looks like you mean business!

...speaking of which, given the title of your thread, I'm guessing you have something hidden in the tail?

Lol just a random title. I mount the nitrous bottle to the swingarm for the rare occasion I actually use it, so there's nothing hiding under there. I need to get myself setup to tune the fueling like you are. I've got too much fuel out of the hole and she falls flat on its face when I spray :/

Interesting. I'll be starting my nitrous tuning next summer. I bought my DynoTune system from Somefun (other guy with awesome garage we haven't heard from lately) and all I need to do is get some brackets carved up. Then we'll see what happens to me.

Someone told me nitrous bottles must have the spigot facing downward at least on a slight decline. I guess not. You have yours pointed up. I thought it was an air bottle for a shifter.

That 10oz nitrous bottle is for the airshifter so orientation really isn't important there. I just want the pressure more than the liquid n2o. It's controlled by a co2 regulator bringing the psi down to 120-140 psi that way it won't blow out the seals in the solenoid and the air cylinder. I can go forever on that bottle without having to worry about running out of air or remembering to fill the air tank after every run.

Really...on that little bottle? I might go that way with the busa. he 14 already has a foot quickshifter. Don't know if I'd want to carry an onboard compressor.

Interesting you should bring that up. I have begun planning my gauge panel on the 14 and want to have a NOS pressure gauge. The one I'm looking at goes way up to 1600 psi! How high of a gauge do I need? What is the max psi you can safely fill a bottle with N2O?

A warm bottle will run around 1000+ psi and you fill bottles by weight if you are going to fill your own bottles.

I'm loving this lift! Wasn't cheap but it's one of the best investments I've ever made!

I got a township contract. Maintain the gravel roads in the summer and plow snow in the winter. Not a bad gig. I own the machine and it pays for my motorcycle fun lol. Right now I'm changing oil and servicing it and getting ready for snow, but apparently I forgot I had sold my only set of 7ft cutting edges for scrap this summer, so now I gotta run to town and pick up a new set....

that sounds like a fine way to live. some might find it a little unglamorous but sounds very cool to me. trucks, tools, ploughs and motorcycles.

That is way cool. Being probably the smoothest riding of all heavy equipment you could probably do that contract until the day you check out of here. I'm jealous. I understand the need for the extended side cutting edge for snow. Whether you get snow or not, you still need to maintain those roads. I have thought about that type of gig myself but so far that's it, just a thought. Excellent contract.

Wow, Nasty, you got a great looking garage size of my house! I envy your jack. I have been asking Santa but he never listens to my wish!

I would live in that garage as long as it stays 40 degrees, I'm ok with that.
