Think I'm going with the shift star set up first.... Would love to do the QS but at the same time I really don't need too...

If you happen to already have a PowerCommander 5, you can easily connect a quickshift button. I have one on my VFR, and just used a handlebar intercom button. Works great and cheap.

I also just installed the Healtech QSE and it was super easy to install. Everything looks well built. Routed easily to the coil plugs from the rear brake side of the bike. Mounted the box on the air intake on the shift side of the bike. Fired right up and shifted seamlessly on the stand. Setup was easy from the app. So far so good.

Some junk & stuff on my bike and a hole in my head for riding it!

Dose anyone have photos or video of it working or already installed on a ZX14R?

Issues seems to be ironed out on Annitori qs plus. I have had one on my 2013 zx14r for about 2 years. Got one for my 06 zx10r about 10 months ago. Have put over 6k miles on bike and have done 1 track day. No issues. It's also the cheapest one as far as price. About 240.00 buck on ebay

yaannih meant to say HM Plus. I have the same and like it a lot. I find it does require a very definite, firm upshift at high rpm/large TP. Otherwise it will miss and kick back down to previous gear which sounds kind of ugly. Also seems to give me some chunks of steel in the oil pan when I miss a shift hard. I'm planning to convert to GP shift pattern which should resolve the missed shifts.

I always suggest considering going with the top of the line HM which will cost you A LOT but would be so cool to have the auto blip for clutchless downshifts...I think kill times can be set/ gear too...although it apppears you can do that and more with the PC5 software using just about any shifter (ask DJ).

1:29 and forward here

Just looked at the Annitori www and learned you have to have rear set on the zx14, they specify it will not work with the stock shift mechanism.

The HM and just about all the other quickshifters I've seen are designed for rearsets. You'd have to do some drilling and attaching of brackets to mount vertically so it works with a stock shift lever. A Dynojet quickshifter would probably be a better part since it's designed to work with stock shift lever. I've heard people are happy with the DJ shifter in recent years.

Healtech makes a quickshifter that works with stock rearsets.

https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/qse/

and a short video of a zx14r with healtechs quick shifter

I ordered one earlier this week. Unfortunately, I won't be trying it out until riding season starts again in June.

YES! It's a blast! One mod you definitely will feel a difference with. The sensation is incredible. As far as being practicle... well, someone did mention it's less wear on the clutch but IMHO, it's still just for fun. I don't do track days regularly at all and it's still probably my fav mod for street riding. Equal to full system exhaust for improved sport riding excitement.
