Retirement Rides
07/29/20 10:25 PM

Well, I'm 3 weeks into my retirement. Between walking the Dawgs, chainsawing trees, stacking firewood, working on the quad and various other tasks, I have managed to get out on a couple rides.
Went over to Lake Almanor. Very pretty but not that twisty, unless you are doing over 100. But I did find a Short Breakfast Loop. Only 40 miles but full of fun turns on empty roads. A new neighbor moved in. He works at the motorcycle shop in Redding and has a VStrom 1000. He will be joining me.

Mad .. You are absolutely owning this Ride Reports sub-forum!!

... and it makes me a lil perturbed cuz I'd like to be able to counter your ride reports with some of my own!! Too busy with work, for another year or so maybe.

Keep on keepin' on ... I'm watchin' and readin'

As of today we have 4 members of the new Maddevill's Breakfast Loop.
Me, Tyler ( modified V Strom 1000 and he just bought a FZ09), a guy who used race same time I did, ( we even knew the same people- Vulcan 1600) and our exterminator, Gary ( CBR1000)
We're going to wait until the weather cools down and the smoke from fires clears out before scheduling a ride.

Sounds unreal Mad.
Nice work.

I really wish I was there to have a ride with some of you boys.

Yannih,, I'm shocked. Beer AFTER the ride is mandatory !!!
Fly your ass out here. I'm sure we can find a bike for you to borrow.

Sorry Mad, should have known you'd have it all sorted.
I don't know if I can keep up with you on a bike but as an Australian I'd give you a pretty good run for your money on the beers.

I'm sure we can find a bike for you to borrow.

No CB250's please!!!

No I have a Turbo Rebel 250 all lined up. It should make it to the end of the driveway.
