Hi Neil...listen..can you go and look at your tank cover where it runs along the front(top) at the tank and goes back along that seam on the left side?Tell me what you see as far as a gap compared to the right side.Where the cover goes"under" the tank edge there on the curve back...thanks.

If I am reading this right, there is a slightly bigger gap on the LHS as you look forward, not much maybe 2 or 3mm???

Yes...looking from the front towards the back...on the left upper side where it curves back around the tank radius.See any difference in gap between the two sides?Can you look down where the upper projection fits into the tank tab(the metal one)and see the projection clearly?Even though it's seated?
