For those who has a Crash Cage like Race Rails etc, what do you like and you don't like about them? How's the leg room?
Does your shin hit the bar if you hava long legs?
Thanks!

Barrier Bars or Race Railz don't hinder your foot / leg when on the peg.
What they do best is protect against a low speed low-side slide. This is an event that breaks normal sliders off, if not busting your frame.
I have MC Enterprises' Canyon Cage on the front of my C14, and it is not only out of the way but provides extremely good protection against any low-side slide that wouldn't hurt the rider.
Nothing can protect you or your bike against a violent get off short of being on a race track you can slide off of into pea gravel.
I still think if enough of you guys approached Ryan at MC Enterprises and asked him to do a group buy build for the ZX14R he might just do it. Then you'd have fantastic slide protection in a nice looking package.

Some of the crash cage does get in a way with your shin because I used to stunt and I have to put a padding on the crash cage bar because my shin is in contact with the bar. But I guess with the bigger bike now there is a bigger leg room. I like this one:

I still think if you guys put a group buy together and asked Ryan at MC Enterprises, he'd make something very much the same for the ZX14 / ZX14R.
You'd need enough of an order to make it worthwhile to him. And he'd give you a deep discount per unit as well.
But, alas, this forum has never successfully put together a group buy as far as I know. And this would involve thousands of dollars.
We do it in COG (Concours Owners Group) quite often, thats how I got my Canyon Cage and rear bag guard bars at a big discount, on a group buy.

I would be very interested in a group buy for the ZX14R. How much did you pay for your Canyon cage / rear guard
bars for the C 14 ? How many folks were involved in the group buy ?

We had 20+ people, I think 20 was the minimum, and the front cost me $225 shipped and the back something like $150 shipped.
Thanks Privateer ... They seem an exceptional value considering the extensive coverage provided vs the cost
and coverage of good sliders like LSL, R&G, GSG.
I'm in ! Now to find 19 others ?
I also like the look of the ZX14 Crash Bars / Sub Cage in the link provided by ZX14Mania, though more expensive.

I ask'ed Ryan about a month ago for us, he stated they were in the process of moving their business and probably could talk again about it after they finished their move.
I was also told, on this site, that getting a group buy together from this forums membership is, ummmm, difficult to accomplish.
Since I got more interested in GSG Motech frame sliders, and subsequently bought them, I'm "out".
