Hey guys. im new to forum using so bear with me. lol. Right now i have a Kawasaki Z1000, but i want to graduate to the ZX-14 seeing as how I am 6'6" and about 300 lbs. I am having a hard time finding one for a reasonable price. for now i dont want anything crazy as far as after market parts. i want to do that on my own. I want a used one preferably newer than '04. I'm weanting to spend around $6000 on it. Im in the Atlanta area. Thank you very much and hopefully I will have one of my own soon. Oh and how do they handle? Ive never ridden one before.

Well, being a big guy myself (well not compared to you), I can say that they handle pretty darn good. I just did some of my first, nice curvy roads this weekend, and it was a blast. I rode about 200 miles, and didn't feel cramped at all (6'-2" 250 lbs.). I think you will be happy with it. They didn't come out until 2006, and to find one for $6,000 or less, shouldn't be too hard to do, since the 2012's have come out. I picked my 2006 up for $6,000 in sept., and it had only 9k miles. After adding riser, and a zero gravity windscreen, it is quite the comfortable bike. Heck, there is an 07 on here for around your budget. If I could sell you mine, I would get it myself, for the handle bar configuration alone.

thanks guys. Number one i feel like an idiot for not knowing that they didnt even make them until 2006. lol. But at least i know its not rare to find them around 6k. the lowest ive seen them on craigslist or ebay is about 8k, but they are all modded out. And I'm glad to hear that they are comfortable for big guys. i figured they would be but its good to hear a first hand account. I plan on taking a 6-7 hour road trip to the beach this summer. Thanks again you were all very helpful. :)
