Busa Killer
10/30/15 3:11 AM

I know I know.
You've seen and heard the title of this thread a hundred times and I guess it is a little disrespectful which is certainly not my intention.
Plus I'm not sure if Rook will be overjoyed...

But today while away with the boys my 14R and I played with a Busa at high speeds (not too sure what year it was).
The result wasn't pretty for the Busa.
Acceleration at all levels was clearly won by the 14R. And I'm approximately 20kgs heavier than the Busa rider, who by the way does not like to be beaten as he loves his Busa like we love our 14's!
But even he had to admit the results were conclusive.
There is something incredibly satisfying about watching the bike you are up against going backwards in your review mirrors or unsuccessfully try to overtake you while at around 250-280km/h...
Got to admit it did leave me with a huge smile on my face.

Would not change my ZX-14R for any other bike on the market past or present.
Amazing machine...

Man that sounds exciting! I wish I was there in the mix. I weigh 155 pounds (70.3 kg) with boots, leather jacket, leather pants, leather gloves and helmet and my bike makes 208rwhp. It would have been like taking candy from a baby kicking busa butt!

I don't care what bike it is, I'm always glad to hear what smashes the busa at high speed because that is sort of a benchmark. My bikes are still fast enough for me but when I can get something faster, I'll take it whether it's a busa a 14 or a BMW. I'm not loyal to any bike (although there are advantages to sticking with one brand). This is an ever changing game. Ride that 14R proudly yannih.

Fast is fast and faster is faster. I doubt most of us could really tell the difference riding one or the other in terms of pure acceleration. In a race, yeah, 14R is going to be hard to beat given ~equal riders.

I was playing with a built gen 2 busa the other day and on top end displacement put him in front but not by much, around town he was in my mirror and even he was sayin the 14 is the king and I ride a first gen 14! He wants a gen w 14 now!

Ha Ha.
I am still ripping into my Busa mate about the conclusive results of our little competition.

He hates it.

And I love it...
