OEM fairing kits
07/09/16 3:56 PM

does anyone want to recommend a decent place to get a fairing kit? I laid my bike down and it seems to be cheaper to get the whole replacement kit verses buying parts by the piece. this is who I think I may end up buying from... https://kawasakifairings.com/zx14r-black-z-fairings.html

any advice would be great.

I've worked with Honda Eaast Toledo on fairings and they are often recommended. I have also heard stories of screwed up orders but my experience was good buying fairings. Good price too. I have heard some positive reviews on aftermarket fairings but I still would say be EXTREMELY cautious about going that route. Cheap, yes but will they stay on at high speed? A friend had his blow off and he purchased aftermarket fairings again. Never heard if those came off or if they're still running.

THe thing I wonder is whats the difference between the $700 and $400 sets on Ebay. Do you get higher quality for the $700?

I always thought these were interesting. Some people recommend buying an entire fairing set for a new bike and storing all the OE bodywork. I can see the trade offs. That I can tell, one order of these aftermarket fairings might be good and the next crap. Some pieces might fit correctly, others might not. Paint, or even the bodywork, might crack during installation or from riding or it may not.
