I have an 08 zx14 and interested in swapping it out for a stock concours seat that I hear so many people are doing with mostly satisfied customers. Question is what year/s connie seat will fit my 08 zx14?

I put a C14 seat on my 2008 ZX14. All you have to do is swap out the latch (put the ZX14 latch on it) and move some rubber bumpers.

Not sure, but when I did it I found a how-to that showed which bumpers to move here on this forum with search. I might be dreaming. Maybe I googled it?

As far as I know, most any year C14 seat since 2008 will fit once you swap the hardware.

I like my 2010 C14 factory gel (option) seat so much, I'm taking it off my ZX14 before I trade it in for a C14, and putting it on my new 2012 C14.

EDIT: The C14 had a revision in 2010, and one of the things that changed was seat comfort. They got narrower at the front some too. So get a 2010 or later C14 seat.

Ok cool, I wasn't sure if I needed a particular year C14 seat for my 08 ZX14.

I have read about having to swap the seats' hardware so I'm at least prepared to figure that out when I get the new seat. can't imagine it would be all that hard.

No pics here...but you insert the ignition key into the lock at the left hand rear fairing spot there,underneath the turn lens...turn the key and hold it turned,then lift the rear cowl up and away from the rear cover piece(pulling backwards a bit to clear the front tabs).To install,slide the two open 'pockets' at the front of the seat onto the two metal hooks at both sides of the tank there,make sure the seat is pushed all the way into the tank forward,and push down on the seat center while aligning the latch projections(under the pan)into their locks.You will feel it pop in,and then gently push the rear cowl into the metal hook at the tail.DO NOT HAVE THE KEY TURNED WHILE INSTALLING THE SEAT.
