Well...I went and did it...again.I've reinstalled the CT.And the PCV with the new updated street map.Installed the noise reducer.Today is the new test run(s).I think I'm losing my mind here.I aint changin again....for a while anyway.I just HAD to see how Brock's new mapping works for my bike.He set it up 'special'..and wanted me to try it out...see what I think.It wouldn't really be right to just shine him on when he's trying to really help me get what I want.So I'll give er a good run .New tires....nice weather.

GRN I didn’t know you changed it out? So you had it on then took it off and now adding it back again? How come you removed it in the first place? I love the look of that pipe and the low growl. But it’s a little loud isn’t it?

Just got back now from a nice 160 mile ride...I have to say....I'm very happy I reinstalled the system.The PCV...the new mapping.The noise reducer actually does work good.The 3-5 decibel drop really does make a difference.The rasp is gone...and the sound now is smooth and pretty mellow.It may be as loud...(it didn't sound like it was)but the bite is gone...which is what I was hoping for.The muffler does sound really good.The new mapping is extremely smooth...and the shifting for whatever reason is really smooth and clickish....with or without the clutch.This engine is breathing nicely...there's gobs of tq all the way through...and opening up like in 3rd,and gassing her right on up to around 9,the front wants to get light.I imagine it would even moreso if I completely punched it and held it there,but the curves come up really fast,and shifting up gets er back down into the 7,8 range.I'm really likin this thing now.Hard to explqin really...what letting the engine breathe has done...but it is very noticeable throughout the rev range.Brock did an EXCELLENT job with this mapping.

Nope...he sent another one...(3).Just the oher day...very cool of him.He seemed very concerned with my satisfaction and also mentioned that"I think you'll be VERY happy with this one!"...his words.He's right..I AM very happy with it...and the sound insert really has helped take the edge off the DB's.The pipe still sounds classic CT...but not rasping.This bike rides and runs better now than it did ever before....he's really excelled on an already awesome bike.She's actually....smoother.If THAT's possible .

Wow...well I'm going to have to call Steve and make sure I get THAT map then. I think the one I got was the Streetmap2. Runs better than it's ever run is a huge statement given the smoothness of that bike stock!

Hey all, been lurking for a while and appreciate all the great info this forum provides. Which GRN I got a question for ya. You have mentioned a few times about shifting with or without the clutch. I'm either not using all the potential the slipper clutch provides or your putting much wear and tear on your transmission. I think all synchro meshed trans will allow some shifting to some degree especially if a quick reduction in power is reduced. I also have an 09 R1 with slipper and it's design is to "slip" during high speed cornering while downshifting to prevent a loss of traction from engine braking. And it works great. If I can do this without a clutch, this is new to me?
I sure agree with ya about the awesomeness of the bike. I've have a few in my career and this bike is the best all around superbike I have ever had. And with the ABS and KTRC likely the safest.

You can uPshift without using the clutch on most modern bikes. Just load th shift lever (put a little pressure on it, momentarily back the throttle of and it will go right in. This has nothIng to do with the slipper clutch, which like you said helps avoid wheel lock up during high engine speed downshifts. It is possible to do clutch less downshifts, but not really at speed, I personally wouldn't attempt it.

Unless you brought your bike over from Europe, you don't hav ABS. It wasn't an option in the States. Didn't want you to rely on it or test it and end up in a panicked slide. Enjoy the new ride!

You are right sir! I was thinking of my FJR... which no does not have traction control. With the speed sensors already attached I wonder whats left to complete the system and posibly have activated. Has anyone looked into this?
