I can get a smoking deal on these, but don't know much about them, I usually would not consider
Avon, but these are their new tires, and the reviews I have seen have all been good.

I ran the first avons when they came out and had no complaints then, the write ups are good and avon tires have a good reputaion, I don't think you're gonna be dissatisfied with them.

I would keep thinking they were made from lipstick and mascara.

Soft and grippy. Easily shredded on rough roads.

I'm currently chewing on my first set of PR4s. My last 3 sets were PR3s and they were a good combo between grip and longevity.

+1, Hagrid. My "new" PR3s are wearing much better than the OEMs they replaced.

Did you notice any cupping on the OEM in the from tire ? I swore it felt like that to me when I ran my
Finger over it ? Also did the PR3 turn in quicker and grip better than OEM ?

I fell into that category. The whole right side of the front tire was wearing funny. If it weren't for that I might have gotten enough wear out of it to last another rear tires worth.

For replacement, I went with Angel GT's. Not a ton of miles on them yet (few hundred), but they seem good enough.

When it warms up and dries out and I can get some real use out of them, I'll probably rave about them. But for now, on damp cold pavement; they get the job done. In a straight line they hook pretty good from a 2nd gear roll-on also. no traction control stepping in. So even the harder center area grips good.

Feel is good, Turn in seems fine. cant really say how they are leaned over a lot cause I haven't ridden on them enough. But so far, they do all I ask. Ask me again in 5k or 10k miles. If they last longer than the stockers (7400), I'd buy another set for sure.

My OEM Metzlers wore pretty well for tread depth but the front cupped badly, too.

Absolutely loved the PR3's for sport touring purposes; but like the Power 3's better (especially with the 55 profile) for commuting and weekend sorties!

The Power 3's are wearing much better than expected mileage-wise as well.

Thanks for the tip! I bought 2 rears and 1 front! I went a little crazy when I saw how cheap they were and my michelins are not even worn out yet. I went back and noticed they are not on sale anymore and the rear sizes are sold out for our bike. Hope I like the 55 instead of the 50 since I bought 2!!
