There's a deal waiting for you Danno. I've spent about 30 minutes thinking this one over myself. Can't quite justify the expense with a busa and a Gen1 14. It's awfully tempting though. I can't get it off my mind. Reliable seller. I would trust him.

Whatever I end up with, it will have to be lighter than a ZX14. At 67, machine weight gets more important with each passing day.

Danno, not sure if you ever drove a superduke, I have the vibration is almost intolerable, the torque and it being over a 100 Lbs liter, may jutify the differance

roadczar: If I could offer a critique, I think you should consider revising or removing the line "Mileage will likely increase as bike is being ridden." from your auction. I think it could make viewers wonders how many more miles we're talking about. And, if it's still being ridden, well the pics may no longer be applicable: Riding results in nicks/dings/scratches.

If it was my listing, I'd remove that line and instead state the mileage as 3,900 and revise upward if you get to that and the bike hasn't sold yet.

Just my 2 cents. GLWS. Bike is great looking

IDK--telling people the bike is being run isn't a bad thing for a used bike and it doesn't sound like your desperate to sell if you tell them you are riding the bike. If they're really interested they better get their ass over to see it before it gets too many extra miles. Knowing it's getting miles I could be putting on it made me more motivated to buy instead of wait. If they don't grab this now, the price they pay is higher miles. It's not like you're going to come down in price much over a few hundred miles ...you already have a very good price.

I think I'm with Extrap on this one.Noone needs to know it's still being ridden and exposed to a possible wreck.Or engine hours.Rookster has a good point also though.

"it will have to be lighter than a ZX14"...how bout an H2 then?lol.Gain in power, handling and loss of that ugly weight!PERFECTO.

I’ve ridden the SDR and the SDGT. If you lug them down and open the throttle, they can be a bit vibry until the revs increase. Once past 6K rpm, there’s no more vibration than an inline 4. Certainly no more than a Ninja or Versys 1000 and not nearly as much as a BMW S1000XR or R. My buddy had to sell his S1000RR because it put his hands to sleep in a half hour.

And I don’t have the $25K to spend on the H2, much less anyplace to really ride it. Blowers and turbos are a fool’s paradise in my book anyway.

Well... I've owned around 50 bikes in my lifetime, and not a single twin. SDR looks like an interesting change.

I had an '04 Honda RC51 999 cc V-twin. Probably won't get another twin. Nice linear power band ... but that turned out to be kinda boring. No problem with vibrations, though.

Roadczar, i recommend a test ride on S1000XR. Comfortable and still 150hp at the rear tire. I have owned 2 zx14s previously. Made the switch a little over 2 years ago to the S1000xr. Not sure how i lived without heated grips and cruise control and shift assistant pro before. Yea it vibes a little, but you can live with it. GLWS of your 14.

zx14rider345: that's an interesting suggestion. I did not realize s1000xr is a track worthy beast. I will check it out.

I wound up trading the bike in for a H2 SX. I was surprised how much I liked the H2.

WOW! Now that was a shocking twist!

More pics! And review, please! i.e. What all is better about the H2 than the ZX14R?

Yes, I got a fantastic deal on the bike and the trade. I could not pass it up. :)

Here is the post I've written on another site:

I only have one long ride on the H2 SX. It feels more comfortable than my ZX14R with higher bars and lower foot pegs. Love the cruise control. The seat seems rock hard and forces me to slide forward, not sure what Kawasaki was thinking. It is bad enough for me to do something about it right away. That is my main complaint so far.

Actually, another disappointment was: saddlebags were not included in the package (not included on the SE either). I had to spend another grand to get them. Should have them next week.

Unexpectedly the bike feels smaller and lighter than either my busa or ZX14R, it carries its weight better. Both power and handling are closer to ZX10 than to a Concourse. It does not have the monster torque of the 14, and at higher speeds it feels a little slower from the power perspective. Keep in mind my ZX14R was heavily modified – full 70 pounds lighter than stock, with tuning, full exhaust, and BST wheels. With light tuning people are getting 220 rear wheel horsepower from the SE.

Overall package is a lot less buzzy, more nimble, better balanced, and more refined. My expectation was that as I age this purchase would be one step closer to a couch bike. I was pleasantly surprised.

Very nice. A straight H2 would have been my choice but sounds like you plan on doing some touring. Thanks for that review. Here's my plan: Turbo busa, nitrous ZX-14, H2, S1000rr, and R6. I'm keeping all of them.

I think I'd actually consider the bags being an extra as a good thing: The OEM bags are fugly!!! ... and a shape that looks like it wouldn't hold much.

I'd probably get these Givi's again for it:

Can you visualize those ^ on this?
