Hello from Texas
04/06/14 6:23 PM

Well avid Harley rider here. Went out and rode several different sport bikes last Friday.Kept going back to the 14. Well needles to say, I'm picking up my new, to me 2012 ZX14 tomorrow after work.
I commute to work 100 miles, each way. Right now I alternate between my Street Glide and Sportster. Just wanted to try something different.

I almost bought a Fat Boy over the ZX14R. I'm glad I didn't cause I am loving every minute of this bike and like you I wanted to try something different.

You won't regret your decision. 14's eat miles up……Unlike a Harley though these bikes break the speed limit in 1st gear. Ride safe

Fired that bike up the other day when I was at Cowboy Honda to see what those Muzzys sounded like. Nice bike bud, I assume you live in or around Beaumont?

Nice buy Triton. Quite a switch from your Harleys. Now make sure you start those 2 hogs once in awhile because since they will be sitting all the time the batteries will go dead....

Yea Buddy.
Rode the new bike to work today. My Street Glide looked sad when I closed the garage this morning.
OH WOW!!! This thing is sweeeet. :-O
Although I loved the ride, had to order me a Zero Gravity Sport Touring windscreen, as soon as I got to work this morning. Little bit too much wind with the stock screen on. For me at least. Driving 100 miles straight. Remember I'm used to the Harley fairing. ;-)

Thanks for the welcome.

Triton, congrats on the 14r...you'll love it!! I don't know about the ZG sport touring screen, but I can tell you the Corsa is awesome on mine......Enjoy!!! BTW, I've got a 14 Street Glide special w/a 9" LRS screen, I get less buffeting on the big Ninja....just sayin'

Triton,

Congrats on the purchase. Love the black Muzzys. Since you're communting 200 miles, you may want to invest in bar risers and lowering pegs. They will make your ride a bit more comfortable. Did for me.
