I am always amazed at how truly limited the selection is for some things including sportbike grips. It seems Progrip is the only company to truly make a quality grip that doesn't look like it came outa the 70s. I had some nasty hard grips, OEM perhaps, on my bike when I bought it and had to lose them quick and ended up with the 719 RVGS Open End Gel Grip which is real sticky and makes it easier to control because you don't have to actually grab the grip; light pressure is enough to turn it which keeps the hands from fatiguing. However, my wrists are numb as we speak from my ride in today. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do. But I can't help ya with the bigger diameter thing. My wife has some big foamy grips on her 83 GS that would be great for you but I don't know who makes em. But I think most everything you find like that is gonna be a bit cruiser oriented with the chrome or 70s styling whatnots. but they're out there...
