I'd say that cop was pretty stupid to play around like that not only on camera but in front of everyone on the expressway. I'd like to think a cop could get away with that but in the real world, I know they don't. It sets a tone of toleration of illegal speeding which is behavior unbecoming of an officer....as much as I wish it were otherwise.

Assume you are being watched and photographed at all times these days. Speeders dont trust cops in uniform and cops in uniform don't trust speeders. Like Wile E Coyote and Roadrunner.

All true Rook, we have to be very cautious of what we do now in this "video" world we live in, I wonder if the cop can appeal or anything ? I really hate to see him lose his job over this ....

lol Yea that was pretty stupid. That dude was ballsy too for doing that. i'd be afraid that it was a setup. People are wild though, my dad is a motorcycle cop and he has people ask to race him all the time but he's not dumb enough to do something like that.

Astounded that there are cool cops out there! I followed a pack of three OPP police gold top police men astride their Harley's. We were in formation cooking at forty and fifty km over the speed limit. I dare not pass em, nor did I wheelie up beside em! At one point a police unmarked cruiser moved in to ticket me, but realized I was following three cops obviously speeding. He pulled out and backed off!

Yea, cool cops are far and few between, but me and my buddy hung with one for about 15 miles, splitting lanes on the freeway in the carpool lane, at about 90 mph, that was the only time that happened ....

I don't really care too much for most cops, but this guy might have a family, and to lose his job and possibly a decent future, for doing nothing really that bad, is unfortunate ...
