Ok, Need some brotherly love...

Ever have one of those... well couple months? Work your A$$ off, 60-80 hour weeks only see the wife and kids when they are getting up or going to bed? So damn busy that my 40th birthday came and went with only 'I love yous and Happy Birthday" wishes, because that was all I had time for. And with all this work you just don't feel like your getting ahead?

So we do what we do and get the 14 out for some head clearing 2 wheeled therapy... and the F@#KING thing falls over while you're trying to close the garage door!?? I am a OCD PITA when it comes to my bikes even, and I cannot stress this enough, even when putting the damn kickstand down. I swear the gods, voodoo, whateverthefuck was so against me. I thought I was going to lose it and snap. And the really shit part was I was on my way to a client to do some work and thought "Hey I will be a in GREAT mood when I show up there today"

Taking it to get an estimate on Friday morning. Makes me sick to my guts, almost want to just sell then think about it... Sigh, sorry guys, don't ban me for sounding like I'm PMS'ing...

One thing I can say... piss'ed-off'ed-ness allowed me YANK it off the ground like it weighted 100lbs.

Shit happens bro. I had on of them days back in July. Sent my baby sliding down the highway I was so pissed mixed with adrenaline I swear that bike didn't weigh an ounce when I yanked it up off the ground bar the bars. I'm working Bout 18+ hours a day right now. Wish I had just one random hour to ride. BTW happy belated 40th bro!

Oh shit...I'm very sad for you...this hurts.Chalk it up to inattention...you'll get over it once you get those parts fixed...and you will...sa'll cool really. But a bummer...yes...I know.Sorry Omega.

When your life and such starts getting 'hectic'...the bike is a risky thing really to get involved with...stupid as that sounds.Even moving it or trying to do things with it...as you found out Bro...geez...Better than riding though and missing a turn...thinking on something else.

"Makes me sick to my guts, almost want to just sell"..yeah..I know...hold on...it'll pass...she's a fine bike...Worthy of repair.

From what I see in your pics you don't even want to know what mine looked like after low siding.

Breathe deeply, my friend. Been there and done that with my ZRX 1200. Looks from the pics that your Kawi dealer can put it back together with bolt on replacements in a matter of one day, excepting the aftermarket windscreen?

Almost all plastic non-essentials, it would appear, with the clip on and the clutch lever being the only mechanically functional disabled parts?

Still won't be cheap; will your insurance cover it after deductable? When the new parts are bolted on, you will forget all about it.

Wondering how it rolled off stand? My ZX is so solid on its stand, not at all like the ZRX that had a trick collapsing side stand clearly designed for increased dealer profit with the slightest inattention or breeze.

Green makes an observation worth noting; when I am under stress for a long period of time, is when shite happens. Had more accidents, bad decisions, corrosive entanglements and the like occur at those times.

On the brighter side, if you are working long hours and unable to ride, this is the best time to have it wrenched and be without it for a while.

Best wishes for a speedy repair and a short memory of the bad times. A lot of riding time left inDayton area this season, I would guess.

Been there with a brand new busa, not quite as much damage, but enough, I was really pissed, but it got fixed like new, and all was good ....

I dropped the 14, but caught it before it did any real damage, I thought I put the kickstand down, but it wasn't far down enough, now I try and double check every time !

I know your pissed, and so was I, but it will pass, and things will get better, as far as working your ass off and feel like your not getting ahead, I can relate to that too, with the way inflation and the value of the dollar, taxes, etc .. Etc ... It's getting harder and harder to stay afloat, I wish. I could say that it will get better, but, I am afraid it will not, hope I am wrong, Hang in there bro, try and focus on the good things like good health, family, etc ...

That sucks man, same thing happened to me on my ZX9. Every bike I own gets a good quality set of frame sliders since then. Thank goodness I have not needed them since then but it's an investment when the "shit happens" gremlins show up.

Bro,
We have all experienced this, hard to sleep it haunts you until repaired, I know! Look at the bright side that's a problem money can fix! She will get a few new panels and then she is new. Now imagine if the frame was bent and you needed alignment or a rebuild. Now that's painful in a massive way. Chin up, fix and get out there again!
Don't look back.

After falling over your forks are more than likely twisted in the triples. Make sure the shop gets them back into alignment.

Sorry to hear this bro. I'm so anal with mine. I check and recheck the kick stand. When I raise her up on jacks, I get a bit nervous every time coz of the stories I've read about bike tumbling over.

Hey smat! Here's what my rear stand looks like! I had it fall off once while I was cleaning the rear tire. Fortunately I leave the kick stand out while its up.

man Happy Birthday Bro, I understand the frustration and no having anytime and seeing the family kinda compounds what happened to bike and make you over the top mad, just settle down and get it fixed, ebay is a good resource and sometimes cheaper if insurance is gonna be a headache on some of the aftermarket stuff, its gonna be okay, put her back and keep her moving man. Much love bro

Thanks guys.

I have calmed down, life has shown me what's really important. At the peril of sounding like a country song... One of my uncles passed away today.

The bike is in the shop, est. cost of $3000. I don't see how the hell, but whatever. I called and started my claim today.

Hey Jason (nice name by the way lol). I still have my stock screen. I am waiting on cblast to get me hooked up with the new screen he's testing :-). But thanks for the offer. That and the stock cans are the only things I couldn't sell.
