My son inlaw has a 94 Gixxer and it has rust in the tank. How would you go about cleaning the rust out of the tank?

Thanks for the ideas. Went with the evapo rust. Although it doesn't work like they advertise it did knock off all the loose rust that was getting in his inline filters. We put a couple of hands full of small nuts in with the evapo rust to try and get all the rust out but it just wasn't happening. New filters and the bike is running better than it has since he bought it.

Since you didn't coat it, it will rust again. I used this method on a buddies bike.

He said he used a liner once before and it also started flaking off and clogging filters. I told him if he wasn't going to line it he better keep it full.
