The attention grabber
11/27/12 10:20 PM

I've noticed when I take the 14 anywhere it gets a lot of attention. I was at an open air mall tonight and wasn't far away from the bike so i could see it and people were taking pictures of it all night! I even had some French Canadians take there picture with it and they were old folks! Even at bike nights and shows it gets a ton of looks, Compliments and people want there picture by it. With all the sport bikes out there it would seem like its just another bike but it really isn't. I never realized how special it was and how much respect it garners amongst other riders and just normal people. I've had lots of bikes over the years and besides my Victory Vision this one just seems to always grab the headlines. I do have the Green SE so the color helps and the LEDs to look pretty cool but its nothing I thought to be overly attention grabbing. Man I was mistaken.

Anyone else get the same treatment? Not even my old busa pulled attention like this thing does! I have to admit its kinda cool, like I just rode up in some exotic LOL.

Here's a pic of Kermit on the dragon! Man I love this bike!

I find I am largely ignored. I am certain that has to do with the difference between black and that shouting green. I go out on my M109R and unless I never stop, I have people coming up to it all the time, rolling down windows, and always wanting to talk about it. This one not so much. It's ok though, I bought them for me, not them.

"Anyone else get the same treatment?"...2nd that.I thought it was pretty cool that the 'older folks' somehow were drawn to it...almost outta the blue.I didn't expect that at all.Same with my Plasma Blue 07.IDK what it is...maybe the size?Seeing this radically styled big bike up close?Something.

Sometimes out riding, there'd be a get together at some bike shop...coffee...stuff like that...and the dealers were 'selling' their latest cruiser models...Victorys,bikes like that.Naturally,it drew all the Harley guys as well...I'd go by and the lot would be filled with cruisers...not one sportbiker.People all milling around...talkin about their bikes and such.I'd hang a u-turn,come cruisin on in.They're all thinkin.."dude wants to sell that Jap crap, and get a real bike"...nope...not this guy. They'd sometimes come up,I'd be sittin there just lookin over the bikes. They start askin questions..."how fast"...that's always the top one.I tell em.They raise their eyebrows ya know....'you ever gone that fast?"...
I say,"well,yes....of course...this bike LOVES velocity"....Then usually the next question is..."it doesn't look very comfortable"....ahh....that's the hook.Right there I normally get off and say.."Go ahead, sit on it.You ever been on a bike like this?"....
"Nope...."
"You wantta ride her?"...

"hell no...."....Gotta love the 14.She's a keeper fer sure!SOMETIMES...they WILL actually sit on her. It's cool to watch their expressions as they sit there...thinking....wishing.

I usually say something like.."well,now you've sat on the world's most powerful and fastest production motorcycle on the planet...whattaya think?".....

That's where they get off,and say something like..."Nah...too fast for me....but beautiful bike there".... to which I reply..."you really should ride one...you don't have to rip everywhere...and she's a smooth as silk"....

Always a good time at those cruiser meets. Then I start her up....EVERYONE is looking.I pull away with a little wave....Gas er in first and loft a tad...into second...I'm gone....pipes growlin like....a scalded baboon

I think color has a lot to do with it and a pretty unique looking front end. My M109 was similar it got a lot of attention as well. Similar setup though big nasty power cruiser with unique looks. You can always spot an M109 in a sea if cruisers that's for sure. Loved that bike a lot. Traded my blue one on the 14!

When I'm in front of my garage working on her I usually draw a crowd. One neigbour said (Whats wrong with her),I said nothing just making her faster. One guy always wants to ride her.I say lay 7 grand in my hand and you can have her.

Make a nice downpayment on the ZX14r SE.Love those wheels.

Not so out of the ordinary over here. To 99% of the general public it's just another UJM.

I get the same reaction. The green flake paint is so vibrant, and when combined with the bike’s *baddest ass on the planet*, people are impressed.

I think the extra $200 we paid for the green *Kermit* model, we deserve a few extra *oohs* and *ahhs* from people.

I ride out in the boonies where there's basically nobody to notice or appreciate my awesome ride. Makes for great fun, thrashing the gears with relatively low risk of $$$tickets. However, out the corner of my eye, I believe I've seen many a critter staring jealously, just wishing they had 200hp to outrun their hungry competition. Either that or I've had one or two too many beers tonight.

I say Jeers to our ZX-Monsters - don't matter if we're alone in our lust... at least that's my thought.

Gotta go get another beer. Seeyalater!! my fellow crazy ZX dudes

The four of us went to The Catfish Cabin in Eureka Springs for dinner one night, and the owner cam over and asked if those were our bikes just outside the window. When we said "Yes", he said, "That blue one is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen on two wheels!" That's quite a compliment coming from someone who's probably seen thousands of bikes parked in his restaurant lot.
