My sport touring rocket
10/27/11 7:37 AM

I have always loved the zx14 from the first time I ever saw one. Kind of has the look of a wasp when you know it is about to sting. Purchased it about 4 weeks ago,(wife found out 2 weeks ago). I wanted a sport bike, that was big enough for me (250 lb, 6'-2"), that would still be able to handle the twisties. I normally go to the N.C., Tennessee mountains once a year with my buddies on my M109. Now that I have something that handles better, I can't wait until next spring. Still have the M109 when I want to style and profile, at a slower pace.

Welcome aboard, I had the exact same M109R same color no bags or windscreen though, miss that bike. Just did the dragon in Aug. on my 14 big girl handles good in the mountains a whole lot better than the 9. Loved it on the Cherohola skyway those long fast sweepers is where the 14 really shines.

Thanks for the welcome guys. The shield is a zero gravity sport touring version. I have been to the dragon, and other roads in the area for the last 3 years straight. Loved going on the M109, but the bags and fairing really take some of the fun out of the twisties. Can't wait to get up there this spring and give the 14 a try. I will post up a date, once we have it set in stone. Maybe someone from here can come ride with us. We normally stay in cabins at the Elk Springs Lodge (Gatlinburg, Tn.).
