i was cooking at the track
07/04/09 9:17 AM

deep frying .. bbqing...yeah hot 100 degree temps in the shade .. about as awful of a day you can have ..they had to make the 9.50 index in a 9.65 index .. shootout bikes were only with 1.48 60ft 8.89@153mph was the fastest 1.. track was crap at tree .. but i still managed several 1.61 - 5.99@125mph 1/8 - 9.17 @155mph THE 08 busa i ran on that pass ran a 10.37 @137MPH .. i broke out on every bracket race i ran .. somebody told me ALT WAS 3500 FT WITH 50% HUMITY AND TRACK TEMP WAS OFF THE MERCURY @ 8PM

Oh and for the 09 cbr 1000rr honda lovers 10.65 @ 137mph was his BEST PASS out of 10 with a 145lb rider ... i'm thinking the honda's don't have a future at the dragstrip ..

Yea you always read in the magazine how the liters are just as fast as the 14, in the real world you don't see it as often.

THE FINALS of Street ET was just that a LEFT LANE WHITE 07 stock motor zx14 VS a stock motored gixxer 1k .. IT WAS a really good race out to around the 1000ft mark where the zx14 feel flat and the gixxer pulled away .. the mph was zx14 138mph and the gixxer 145 mph .. riders around same weight .. the left lane had something spilt on it before this race happen.. and was causing mis-shifts and tire spin

i know that gixxer is bone stock motor with mr9 race fuel and a slip-on ..he's a friend

Sounds about like my outings lately.

I tore the 9.50 index up last month, it was so hot nobody could run the number. I had plenty of cover, but most of the bikes are only .30 and .40 bikes that run the class. 120* track temps means they can't run the number.

Got a busy month ahead of me. ET race in arkansas this weekend, points race next weekend, and another points race the following weekend.. Supposed to finish last month's race then.

Not sure if i'm going to ark though.. kinda a long drive for a little payout.

Hell you ought to.

We got a "trial" class we're doing, "realstreet". Heads up pro tree, only drawback for you is turbo's have shorter wheelbase allowances. Everybody else is up to 67" and turbo bikes are 64 or 65 i can't remember. Plus no controllers on turbo bikes or wet nitrous bikes.

I want to run it, but that would put me in 3 classes and thats a lot of abuse on the bike.

shit i feel like i'm cheating, i'm at 66 1/2!

but i'm way too long to do any good. too many traction issues. hopefully getting that ironed out saturday though, having a guy help set up my suspension.

Going to try to get in the 1.399s or better on the 60'
