Different engine oil cooler for ZX14 ?
06/16/24 4:52 AM

Guys, I am looking for engine oil cooler options since the factory cooler must be removed to fit a turbo. Has anyone looked at other options for cooling the engine oil? I was looking at the cooler that goes under the oil filter, do you guys think this would work?

If this works then can I also use the same coolant hoses to circulate coolant through my turbo?

This is a 100% street bike that will get drag raced so if Kawasaki fitted an oil cooler from factory then I would rather employ some kind of cooler than none.

:)

OZ, I had some block of aluminum glued to the engine. Think of hacksawing fins down the block, or think of the fins of aluminum used in a computer tower and pepper those around the front of the engine so it hits air. Glue is called amazing goop glue, or E6000. Takes the heat well, can be pressed under paper thick and thin enough to transfer the heat to the block.

In other words, anything but mickey mouse oil lines that may fail and coat the back wheel. This way, it's just blocks of fins that for sure will never fall off. That's the Meguyveer I'd come up with.
