racertex,

My dyno results are scary close to yours. Like almost identical. Just got it back from the tuner this afternoon. Same mods, except I removed the flies and I'm running a BMC street filter.

I assume you're running the Yoshi without the sound level reducer?

Hi Matt,
Yeah the Yoshi still has the restrictor - or whatever they call it- in it. I've thought about removing it for the cool sound, but I kinda like being able to quietly slip away down side streets after acting up! The air filter is stock. My results were probably a bit on the high side because I live near sea level, it was a particularly cool day and the relative humidity was low (compared to normal for around here) when it was on the dyno.

Just had mine done today. Mods are... DNA Air Filter, PCIII, Secondary Butterflies removed. That's it. Stock cans.

Rear Wheel HP: 184.28
Max Torque: 112.46 ft/lbs

Done at Bunbury Dyno by Todd Patterson. An excellent job with great service. I'm happy. Can't post the chart as I don't have a scanner at home. Will try the Muzzy M10 later this year and see what improvements I get.

I ran my 08 ZX 14 SE yesterday, roughly 600 miles on the motor, unfortunately a really hot day, just over 100 F, rare for here in western Canada. We are at about 3,800 feet above seal level.

I ran the bike to get a stock baseline, and to check air/fuel ratio, only change so far is addition of a K & N air filter, just shopping for a pipe, and have confirmed a PC V with autotuner will work for the 08 even though Dyno Tec says only 09 and later, but am being told autotuner is out of stock until mid September.

See attached, 159.47 hp, 99.67 torque, and running substantially rich from about 4,000 rom and getting progressively richer all the way to red line. Looks like a fair bit of possible improvement available just with a little air/fuel ratio tweaking alone. Looking at the chart bg gordon posted, his bikes first run shows rich condition, then second run with mixture leaned out it looks like he picked up additional power/torque and possibly smoothness.

Paul

sorry, guys, I can't get the pdf file of the scanned dyno run to post, looks like the photo/pdf can't be picked up right off the home computer, does it have to be uploaded somewhere first? Help.

I got my PCV and Autotune for my 08 at Fuelmotousa.com about a month ago. Might want to try them. It looks pretty easy to install the PC. I really have to get that thing on there.

My 07 with a filter and full Arata system showed 180.79 RWHP and 147.87 Nm of torque. After fitting a PC and dynotuning, the rwhp was 187.73 and 150.37 Nm of torque. This was done on a dynojet at sea level @ 31.66 degrees C, 1009.15 mbars and 33% humidity. I will try and post the results map.

I wouldnt worry about the numbers as all dynos read different. the before and afters is what you are looking for. It looks like you have a flat spot from 8 to 9k

precisely.

some dyno's are tight, some are loose. You may have gotten on a tight one. Don't worry about it, just worry about the gains

Hey Slow where did you take your bike when you got it tuned? Or who did the tune? I'm assuming they had an in house Dyno.

I took it to Brady at Metric cycles. Really good tuner and really cool guy. There's another guy that does em, but he does it on the side and you have to leave your bike for a day. BUT, he'll do actual real world tuning and data aquisition. I have no personal experience with him, just what he's told me.. But Brady is pretty good for the $$ lol

Looks like I am in the ballpark,, ran for the first time last week 187HP exactly, with a Brocks gen 111 and pc3, stock filter, street map. Right after I got off an '08 Busa ran 188HP with a full Yoshi system on.

Hub,

I'm lost. Whadya mean "Gonna pound you Linears with that aftermarketshit"??

Stock exhausts and after doing an Iron Butt run of 1600kms in 24 hours, I gotta say this thing purrs. 3400kms in 3.5 days and it didn't miss a beat PLUS it ran better than it has ever run before. I'll be taking it down the drags in Sept when our season starts but I suspect I'll only get one run in before I get kicked off (until I get an ANDRA license). Once we run under 10 seconds, they kick us off if we don't have a full ANDRA license.
