LONDON, Ontario (AP) — Bill Cosby jokingly warned a woman in the audience during a show in Canada Thursday night to be careful drinking around him.

Joke or not...wrong...just wrong. This guy needs to be indicted for his crimes.PERIOD.

LOL this is just a tabloid story, isn't it? There hasn't been any real news coverage of Cosby being a daterapist.

Isn't it amazing how people we love in the public eye surely can't be guilty of anything unpalatable, and even when they are we choose to conveniently forget because they are very good at what they do.

Elvis Presley. Pedophile. Fact.
Charlie Chaplin. Massive pedophile. Fact.
Men of the cloth. Filthy low breed pedophiles. Fact.

You know why no police are knocking on my door and your door asking us about women or children who have been molested?
Because we never did it!!!

99.999% of the time where there is smoke there is fire.

Do I know for sure Mr Cosby is guilty? Of course not. How could I?

But I simply ask you.
If the life of you and your family relied on your answer on whether he was guilty or not what would you say considering all of the various people coming forward with similar stories?

Dave Chapelle summed it up perfectly in one of his sketches.
When asked whether Michael Jackson was guilty of interfering with children, he said
"No way. The brother is innocent and is a victim of a vicious plot against him and his reputation. If you can't categorically prove it, move on".
He was then asked if that was the case would he leave his own children with Michael Jackson alone?
Dave replied
"Fuck no!!!"

But don't worry.
Like all the other famous celebrities and sporting stars, the lovable Mr Cosby will deny deny deny then use his status, his contacts, his influence, his wealth, his image and his age to beat this and simply walk away scott free while the victims are left shattered, frustrated and humiliated.

He certainly won't be the first, and he certainly won't be the last.

One law and justice for them, another one for us.

That my friends, is just the way it is...

IDK....if he's found guilty, I think he's going to fall hard. ...well no prison but no more fans. I don't see how they will prove anything unless there is DNA.

I was raised Catholic. Something always seemed odd about Catholic Canon. As a young adult, I decided that Catholicism wasn't for me, way too much focus on the church and men (the religion) and not God. The Roman Catholic Church has been ripe with corruption for 100s of years (thousands?). Before the Renaissance they were what islam or whatever are today. Today, they're just a little more sneaky about it and obviously less influential now that most Governments are independent of religion.

Frankly it wasn't really surprising to me about the whole homosexual/child molesting thing going on. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still happening, all protected in the name of a religion. I'd nearly bet money that either things are just being hushed up, or there's another storm brewing that at some point will boil over throwing the homosexual/pedophile priest thing in the lime light again.

Oh yes they are. The priest of my church was accused and admitted to enticing/assaulting children and he was whisked away somewhere else. That was over 15 years ago. He's in his 80s now and I came across him still doing mass at a very nice retirement home. He lives there along with other retired nuns and priests. Not a bad penance, to retire with full benefits and keep working in exchange for escaping justice.

I understand clergymen of any given denomination having sexual affairs with other adults. That happens. My guess is that the pattern of homosexual pedophilia among priests is related to the vow of celibacy. Perhaps at some point gay men found the priesthood an obvious choice since they had no interested in being married anyway. The problem is that they are not supposed to any sex at all ever. As is usually the case with repression, it finds some outlet. Who better to vent the repression with secretly other than children? As is often the tragic consequence of sexual abuse, it later becomes a compulsion in the victim. So you have a pattern of intergenerational sexual abuse in the church. Some of the victims will become priests themselves and at some point, they are triggered to perpetrate the abuse that happened to them. I think The Vatican should lighten up on the celibacy thing. Most Catholics don't really care any more about that than they do about the little rule restricting birth control. I think we have a more progressive pope right now so some of the silly old traditions will loosen up.

Wherever there's a bias of 'good'...there will always be a counterweight of...'bad'.Things are just like that. The issue raised here isn't just exclusive to the Church.Ritual abuse is occurring as we post this...terrible abuse.Including murder.Of children. This is worldwide...in every corner. In every society. There is a wicked spirit promoting these things...until that's acknowledged and confronted...there's little hope that things will change. You can only help a bit at time....save one child here...one there...and lock up the perps.Like was mentioned though....the damage done is embedded so deep in the victims....you have to keep trying.Helping.Exposing.Prosecuting.Deviants aren't gonna just stop over some arrests.

RE: Another 'winner'

My next two comments are pretty strong and will definitely not endear me to many on this site but in my opinion it's plain to see for all that care to look.

1. One of the many reasons why I do not believe there is any greater being is the rife child abuse in the church. The so called religious proponents who commit these atrocities, cover up these actions, and know of these acts but do nothing to stop them are hypocrites of the highest order because they simply do not believe in God themselves.
They cannot.
You can hide from and deceive mere human beings, but if you believe there is a greater being that controls and knows of everything, you cannot hide behind anything. And if this greater being knows how evil you have been due to prioritizing your own personal physical desires over the cost of destroying others lives, you are going straight to hell (if thats what your belief is).
And yet these horrific practices continue.
And these molesting monsters continue to apparently dedicate their lives to their chosen religion, protected by their own church, and tell us all to listen to their teaching for a glorious afterlife.
Please...
But then I guess the religious out there will qualify this with "God is all loving and forgiving and works in mysterious ways".
Tell that to the victims and their families...

2. People do not like hearing the truth. Especially if it is strong and relatively negative.
But look at the state of our world today and what we wake up to on the news every day.
This world was paradise till human beings came along and began systematically destroying the synergy that existed.
If you were an advanced civilization living on a distant planet and observing this Earth would you be impressed with what you saw? You'd be shattered that a race could treat itself like we do and you'd stay as far away as possible right?
Unfortunately it is not within us to live respectfully and in peace with each other.
I unfortunately firmly believe you can never stop the evil that has and will happen. It's in our DNA.
That's not to say we should stop trying though...
And if the presence of human beings is an indication of God's greatness, well, it seems to me that perhaps he had an off day in that design process because the flaws are immeasurable...

Pedophiles, or protectors of pedophiles in any religion are not representing that religion. The leaders of the catholic church are still human beings, not perfect, and not connected to God any more than anyone else. You must have evil to have good. If there was no evil, there would just be. Not believing in the goodness of God because there's evil, is like not believing in the good of the sun because there's skin cancer.
Thousands of degrees of heat, volcanoes, ice ages, poisonous water, poisonous gas, earthquakes, horrific storms lasting years, and on and on, for billions of years. That is the paradise before man came along.
As for Cosby, I don't know if he's guilty or not. He's just another actor/comedian, and deserves no accolades for that job. I never did understand why people put professional pretenders, or athletes on a pedestal. However, I'm always suspicious of people that accuse people of heinous crimes decades after the fact. Why now, and not then? In need of a little media attention? The "me too" accusers are even worse.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

Ah but that's the catch. You see, in the Catholic Church the pope is infallible, so to them the pope is a perfect human that cannot be wrong. Look into it, this is true and it's based on the Church's believe of God relating through clergymen and the pope having basically the direct connection to God.

Yannih, it's important to separate religion, which is from man, from the actual beings religion attempts to understand. I'm not even really so sure God is "god" persay, more God is just the symbol we use representing some being(s)/thing(s) greater than the things we can know and understand (and we can understand alien life so that's not the same thing).

G'day Darryl,
Sorry mate but perhaps not the greatest analogies.
High profile people like Gibson in the public eye know they simply cannot say publicly what the normal Joe says at the pub. It one of the costs of being popular and earning millions of dollars.
Regardless, would you telegraph your stronger pub opinions and points on national radio or television?
And not too many could single out Clinton for doing what millions of other married men have done before him. But when questioned whether he did it or not, and while President of the United States of America, he perjured himself in front of the the highest court, and also the world.
And walked away Scott free.
Don't know the Rob Ford one.

No, i have no doubt that old Bill will walk away regardless.

He may lose a fan or two, but is that a fair penalty if found guilty?
