Hi everyone im a new ZX14R owner and new to the group. I have a 2013 ZX14R that im having some seat / cowl interference issues. I bought the bike a few months ago and missed that the front of the seat cowl sides (The thin parts under the seat) are contacting the sides of the left and right tail section.As far as I can tell, the rubber blocks are fine (although a little soft by my thoughts)and 2 are missing at the very rear of the seat. At some point they were replaced with 2 round ones which when I compared the seat to a friend's 08 there is supposed to be the rectangular blocks there.
The seat was always difficult to latch in to place, and I corrected that by bending the tank tabs out just a touch. But for the life of me I can't figure out why the cowl is touching. It's obviously compressing more when I sit on it. I temporarily added to the frame rails some 3/16 lite ply shims under the first set of rectangular rubber blocks on the frame and this seems to have rectified it. The fact that that solves the issue means somethings wrong somewhere, and the only thing that makes any sense to me is that the rubber blocks are weak / soft and not doing their job by supporting the seat. Have any of you ran in to this before??
I gotta say this is my first Kawasaki after a 10 year hiatus from riding, and I can't believe the power on this thing compared to my last bike (07 GSXR1000).
Everything is stock and so far as i know and can tell the tail section was never apart.Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

Match cowl bumpers with the parts page. You mentioned round, but should be rectangle like you said.
