I get sport rider magazine, and this month on the cover they have the 2013 yellow busa on it. Well they like to dyno the bikes stock then afterwards they get the full brocks package on them and see what the bikes pull then, and then they go to the track. Well just last month they had the 14r do the samething (and they brought up the 14r like 15 times in the busa's article). Anyway on the dyno after the brocks package (pipe pc5, and brocks map) the 14r pulled 203hp and 119tq. Well this month they put the busa on their dyno with brocks full package and it pulled 175hp and 100tq. DAMMMMMMMMM that's nice, 28hp and 19tq down on the 14r. And believe me they brought up the difference in power. The same guy who raced the 14r raced the busa down the track, and he said what a difference the 14r is to the busa. He said once halfway down the track it's hard to stay on the 14r,and even harder to bring your feet up to shift into second gear because of the torque pulling you down the track, as where the busa was much easier going down the track with less power. At the end of the day on the 14r he was in the 9.2's all day and at 156mph. On the busa his best pass was a 9.5 at 148mph. Now that's 8mph faster and .3tenths quicker in a 1/4 mile. Imagine you sitting on your bike stopped and have a friend on his bike go past you at 8mph. That's how the 14r pulls past a busa, and that IS ONLY in the 1/4 mile, it keeps getting worse out on the street past that. And when they said to the Suzuki guys how they were upset that all they did to the busa was add new brakes, their answer was (No matter what kawi brings out we always out sell them with the busa) Man if I owned a busa and wanted Suzuki to step to the plate to compete with the new 14r, I would be pissed off at that statement. So gotta love 28hp and 19tq more on the street, man that's nice boys, mother kawi did real good this time, real good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
