Nasty: Thanks. Negative on plastic. She's all coming off.
Here's the fab-4 so far. The white one was not abs so I swapped it out for the red one.

I more bought an engine that came with two wheels. Power to weight ratio rules. I've been loosing weight myself. Color does not matter when buying: knowing it's coming off anyway. I couldn't last 5 minutes in the garage just now. My face was dripping when I walked in the house.

I just cracked open a new tube of glue within those minutes. I came up with a new air cleaner mount and it's setting up as we speak.

Catch the hankie any purist starting to tear up.

Good man Hub !!
Sure take some beating, your 14 !
The torque figures, married to that HP ??
The unburstable donk, that's never stressed.
The things go round corners ACE if you thro some Ohlins at em both ends.
VERSATILITY, is a word that comes to mind.
Drag bike, touring bike 2 up with panniers or amaze on the twisties in capable hands.
Im on my 2nd 14 & in the last few yrs I've also owned a ZX10, an Aprilia Tuono 4cyl, a KTM 1190 & the 14,s my fave out the lot.
?? Anyone else out there near Melbourne Oz ?

Oh look, Moe! Stainless steel lines for the brakes/clutch. Now I see more of the extra $E package of parts. I had to walk away from the bike because of the two top covers needing to be removed first. Walked back out hours later and they popped right off. That usually works for me. The old lady wanted me to take more pics before the strip. A before and after is plenty I said.

I had the left side fin bolt sort of loose. If that wasn't addressed I'd think I'd be on the list of those that lost a few fairing bolts. Once snug but not tight, they won't go anywhere. But this one was questionable. Out of the 3 bikes: 2006 had a broken plastic dust boot covering the steering bearing. 2008 had a torn front wheel seal. 2013 was flawless. I'll know soon enough with the '17.

Hey Hub, congrats on the new bike but all this talk of major mucking around again with your new 14?
Very predictable my friend.
Ever thought of adopting a more "uncharacteristicly normal" approach, confusing the f**k out of everyone, and just leaving the thing 100% stock?

It sure would get people talking!

P.S.
If you do go ahead with the changes don't forget the Cblast flash...

Thanks, gents. So another walkaway last night and off pops the rest of the plastic this morning. Then I see it! Oh shit, oh shit, ohhhh fuck! She's euro-sniff-compliant. Closed the fuck looped! Dem tuning days is over. Orrrr... I buy the crash bike and run the '13's open loop ECU and harness. Or, I see if the '13's ECU plugs-in>> connector wise.

Now, we have the 2016 with an 02. Here starts the next gen. It's just a trivia Q&A. 2015 is the end of open loop.

Unless we run an ign pig, a pc, unplug the 02 and let the code flash in the the dash.

Welcome to my world Hub. Remember the Flash challenges I had that you guy's helped me with where the O2 sensor ended up being the issue?
There goes the Cblast flash for you.

If your girl is Euro compliant, do you at least get the foldable luggage hooks that the US versions don't seem to come with?

No folding hooks noticed. No issue for me flash wise. I run bone stock. Watt I wanted to know hack wise is over with. F1 is my goto mode. Strange as it seems, but my assfactor was showing a more aggressive low end torque curve where it is lost in the flash. Go figure.

Slow break-in for me, fellas/ladies. Figured if anyone is thinking about buying a 14, want's to replace parts per gen intervals and who fits what, here's some trivia.

Modding this bike is like sipping on a shot of 100 yr old remy martin. Between the temp and that window of time, the glue setting up, I walk away from that idea to see if it pans out. And then sit back and accomplish very little as I come up with the next execution.

Say I scrutinize the fit and finish since it's almost off. I mean this is not even something to rag about, but the bottom edge you can't see; was not sprayed as the other matching side was. Fit = 100 points. Finish = 99 points.

Wheels are next. Years back I has a cut seal on the front wheel and a broken steering neck plastic dust cover on the other bike, if I recall? Other than that, those 3 were consistently flawless in every way. This one seems to be consistent too. If I put this up against an aprilla you'd laugh and scratch your head too thinking, WTF?

So for 2016 and this year, gone are the familiar front and rear disc styles. Those outer cuts had a run from 2006 to 2015. Everything else looks pretty much the same. After awhile that black and green sort of grows on you. It's got one look now, but the final will be the same old thing.

I think the black upper half of the cowl looks really good.Like that.Looks like they saved some money by NOT pedaling those discs.Black Yoshi CT exhaust would look really nice on there.Nice bikes guys...

"Slow break-in for me"...yup...basically.A few ups into the upper range just for fun...otherwise...broke all my bikes in like that...never any issues.

So Hub, you've got me intrigued.
What's your connection with Moe ?
I'm maybe a couple of hrs away, depending on avoiding blue n red flashing lights.

If you're familiar with a 1940's American comedy team known as the '3 Stooges (Moe, Larry, & Curly),' Moe would bonk Curly over the head with something, and Curly would scream out, 'Oh-oh-oh, Oh Look Moe!' And they'd find a clue to the story/plot and continue on with the next gag.

Ah, ok, not sure of the three stooges antics.
Crossed wires, there's a town not that far from me, called Moe, & I was thinking you knew it or someone there.

Well, yesterday was the first time I turned the key on with a battery in place. I needed to check my wiring and noticed the dash screen has changed its pigment. Also, the display begins with a signature type taillight smile, then shows the dash's temp/gas/etc. I turned the key off and then on again and the dash comes right up, no waiting for the display to show that lame smile/logo. I hope this change in pigment addresses the sun beaming off the dash and renders the readouts useless. I'll know soon enough.

Pisses me off I had that bike all setup and ready to go with some hacks/pigs/etc. When I removed all my wiring, man did it pile up in a mound. It kept on evolving and now I'm back to square one.

'I hope this change in pigment addresses the sun beaming off the dash and renders the readouts useless. I'll know soon enough'...I don't think so Hub.I think about the only thing that'll help that problem is placing something over the display.Possibly a darker windscreen might help some.Besides,I'm not sure that it actually IS the Sun rays doing it(I mean, could it possibly be overheating?)The radiant heat.I'd be more inclined to go with the display heating up.

I can normally see mine ok but if it's early morning, forget it. They should really just have some bright LED displays and a dash dimmer. Wait until you see my cockpit.. yoo want gauges you can see in the daylight, I got the solution!

This has been the story of my life for the past 8 months, Hub. I'm finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel...for now anyway.
