A freind of mine had his 07 14 painted the same color as a zx10 with black wheels and black decals. Man it looks bad ass!I was ready to drop a load. But I think it cost alot of money ( he won't tell me how much )Has any one else seen one like that.

There's another member on the forum that painted his Kaw green. Also, I believe green was an 09 color so you could get 09 fairings but I'm sure it will be 1000 bucks.

I took mine apart as soon as I got it home and painted it green and all the markings are painted on with a coat of clear. I would post a picture but I'll have to get my daughter to show me how. And I had the wheels powder-coated a satin black

That guy on eBay sells complete cowling sets with custom graphics (MotoGP replica, etc.) for like $350 ! Sure, the plastic resin isn't as good as the oem plastic, but its not all that bad, either, and the color is permanent (mixed in with the plastic when its formed) and did I say, cheap?

otfab, Im having my black 07 painted also. Does the 10 have different shades of green depending on the year? That orange that's on ten might be cool too!

what does a decent paint job run?

Buck20 I just took a picture (like a brochure)to the paint supply store and matched it up with the paint chips. I think paint cost me about $300 by the time I was done. The only thing holding you back is your imagination when it comes to colours. Have fun and man am I getting the itch to ride!!

Here's mine. Its a 06 with a custom PPG mix to match the 05 Kaw green. Cost was $1500 with the friend discount but it was done to look 100% factory, insides of everything was painted ect. My friend works for one of the bigger car dealers in OKC and he was able to do it in their paint booth so with a LOT of wetsanding & polishing it has 0 flaws in the paint. These were taken right after it was finished, it now has all green turn signal/tail light and green Spiegler brake lines.

Just remember there is a LOT of stuff to paint...if you paint everything there are 16 parts. So it takes FOREVER to fully prep, paint, then wetsand/polish a 14 vs. say a R6 with only 8 parts.

Mine also has more green LEDs then a UFO, LOL
