Sorry but I don't do cheap when it comes to tires on a 180 HP motorcycle! They're the only thing keeping your butt off the pavement....you know, pay me now or pay me later! Pirelli Diablos and Michelin 2CT are popular, I like Dunlop Qualifiers, OEM BT-014's are decent, not oustanding but relatively inexpensive and they seem to hold up well if you can stay off the throttle.

Tell you what, I just put on a rear Pirelli Diablo that I had gotten from Cycle Gear months ago, and it feels really good (better than stock) and was cheap...

Yep-Diablos are very good tires.Did the "Diablo's",the "Rosso's",and then to the "Stradas".Never had any slip at all-none.All the way to the edge(and a tad past).Held perfect. They're pretty good when ya can reach down and feel the tire after a good run,and she's sticky.(I mean, sticky).Gooey,um yeah, you know what I mean.

For high mileage tire you can't go wrong with Pirelli Diablo Stradas. The Rosso's would be my second choice.

So far I've had the best luck with Avon Storms...they're wearing like iron compared to the others I've tried, and I twist the throttle hard alot

If they'll hold up under Bad, they'll hold up under anyone!

Just in case anybody following this thread is not aware of it or has not yet participated in it, we have a tire poll where you can vote for your favorite tire. -bg

I'm on a set of B-21's. Made the bike heavier. Wears less with the about the same cable yank added since. The B-16 moved all over the place. The 21's stick better, but I miss sliding around with the softer OEM 16's.
