In need of Gen 1 fairings in black (matte or gloss or whatever goes well with an all black zx14) - specifically the mid left and right ones that house the front turn signals. A few days ago, we had heavy rain here and the bike was parked on grass. Little did I know that the ground got really soft and the bike stand literally "sank into" the ground, with the left fairing touching the grass. It cracked along the edge and I need to replace it. I have never dropped a bike before and this freak incident has me rather upset.

Please let me know if someone has them both (or just the left one as long as it is black one for Gen 1 - 2007). I am in Montana (59044). Willing to pay shipping. I will even entertain the whole kit (black, green, red).

So you are looking for used fairings? Does condition matter? If you are looking for new, take a look at Partzilla, Revzilla, or Ron Ayers.

Thanks for replying. I am open to used ones, as long as they are not cracked or chipped. I checked Partzilla and Ron Ayers and the price for OEM ones is asinine, to say the least. I think each side is over $500!!

So yeah...used ones will be fine as long as they are not damaged.

I looked at Ebay and all I see is Chinese stuff (carbon fiber) with sellers who don't have good ratings. I was really hoping a fellow enthusiast would have some for sale and be willing to ship. I have not had much experience with buying stuff on Ebay in a while. Amazon has been my go-to, but when it comes to sellers from other countries, after-sale service, returns and refunds become nightmarish.

Do people here have experience with these kits on Ebay or Amazon? Worth it for under $400?

I have bought a couple of sets from Auctmart with good success.

It's been a few years but I have purchased used fairing s off of Ebay. You shop diligently, you should find some with all tabs intact. They should show broken tabs in the photos. You will probably want to repaint them but I imagine you can cobble together a full set of good fairings for a Gen1. That's what i plan to do. I already own a few extra fairings I bought off Ebay and they're usable but some have cosmetic damage. You paint them or polish them or do what you need to do to make them look like new.

I agree. For now, I was able to (until I can get a full set) use a heat gun to embed thick metal pins into the back side of the fairing and then plastic weld (JB Weld) on top of it. The heat didn't ruin the fairing. The crack on the outside is now simply a line, which I can live with, until I have a fresher set of fairings.

Sounds like you did a really nice job on that patch up! Just be wary of going fast. I had a cheap aftermarket fender on my 08 and it withstood 180 mph but you never know. I'd drill some holes and run a string through them for stitches! Great look until you get your new fairings.

For Ebay, use the filters to specify Kawasaki/OE and used.

This greatly reduces the chinese fairings, although not completely.
