Swingarm advice
01/04/11 6:29 AM

I'm looking to buy an extended swingarm. Am not interested in swingarm extensions. Want a 4"-6" over length...don't need a Nitrous bottle holder....do want it Black powder coated..would like underbracing but could live without it ...Any thoughts on a good arm and where to purchase? Not planning on this for track use..just street riding. Thanks for thoughts/advice.

I have a 8 over McIntosh arm. Nice set up. You can find some good deals on psychobike.com. I saw a swingarm like mine with under bracing, extended brake line, and chain selling for $925. That's a steal. I paid $1150 for just the arm on mine.

I see lots of Adams at the track and the boys seem happy with them. Not a McIntosh but still sweet and does the job.

Got the aluminum McIntosh 8" over with underbracing powder coated black its a very nice swingarm. My bike is at Adams now and I was looking at their moly arms and they are nice also. Really which ever one you get it will be nice. Myrtle west has some nice ones also. In fact I was at their shop and they make alot of the arms that others sell. Happy swingarm shopping.....

I'll tell ya, I could use a drift bike with a long arm. If you do not see some trend about to happen drift style with extension... It must be the wild child in me or I am a head of my time Joe Average here it comes; 'NoseTreDumbAzz'

Talk about tire wear. 11:1 A/Fratio all day long is the setup!

One hand drifts out the corners.
