Funny how that whole area has changed. I saw it expand growing up around there. We used to pedal out to the swamps in back of the dairy farm: before the houses crept in. Used to play with these big snapper turtles after school... Speaking about turtles. Comes X-6 Hustler time. I'd take a shortcut on the farm road, past torment turtle park, past the creeping housing tracks, down to the end of the farm: where 287 took a big chunk out of it. She was newly paved. No traffic going thru yet. Just a long [dark] stretch of the closed highway. Those were some smooth runs on that freshitarmac.

So this thread made me g-earth the area, follow the roads out of the Chief's town you're going to bbq at. Where I used to ride, they took out this hairpin turn that if you when straight, you'd go into the diary farm's entrance road. So no matter the direction, if you blew the apex, headed straight, you'd have to turn that sharp for it, or head into the dirt paved roads. That hairpin was my gotta go thru it kind of fast either way.

One day my sister's girlfriends husband tells me, "I (guess I was going fast thru it so he) sped up to the turn to see if you didn't make it or not, ha-ha-ha." Little did he know... MOOOOOOOHAahahahahahaha
