stock chain pitch?
10/14/09 6:34 PM

Can anyone tell me what the pitch is on the stock drive chain? I'm also interested in the length.
I'm kickin around the idea of getting Carrozzeria wheels which would include a new sprocket on the back. I'm thinking of going to a 43 or 44 tooth sprocket. I'm not sure if that would require a new chain or not. (I'm thinking not.)
I think the pitch is 530 and the length is 116 links. Who knows if I'm right?

KEERECT!!!!Give that man a CEEGAR!!!But you will need a longer chain if ya go stock front w/ 44 out back(43,stock front-I don't know about that one-but a 16t front and 43 rear will work with yer stock chain length).

I did a little more research after I posted this. The OEM chain is made by D.I.D. and is a pretty good quality. The price of a stock chain on one site I checked was $238. And on another it was more! That's a lot more than prices on some chain suppliers web sites. There's a couple chains "for racing" which are ultra light and "for the person who likes to put on new chains frequently." OOOH Yea, that's what I want!
