Lights
08/24/12 4:34 AM

G'day All, thinking about buying this monster
But I do a lot ( 7 hours a week )of night riding
and would like to know how good the lights are.
I once had a 1100xx blackbird and that had real
Good lights, but now have 1050 sprint st, the lights
On that are shit, I've put h.i.ds in all 3
Lights & a set of small 55w pencil beam spot
Lights on it just to get some warning of
Moving rocks ( wombats ) & kangaroo. Any help
Will be appreciated.

HIDs on the 14R will illuminate all critters well before you can get close to them.

here are mine, superfu@#ingbright...55W, 5000K, white LED parking lights too...put the low ballasts zip tied to the ram air ducts under the side panels and the high beam ballasts in the nose behind the instrument panel...easy install, $100 for lows and highs from ddmtuning and $10 for the LED parking lights. Kinda hard to see through a camera, but each light is defined to the naked eye in the dark. Cant wait to get my exhaust back tomorrow so I can try them out on the road!

BTW putting 55W HIDs on is a waste of wattage. 35W 6,000k will light just as well and put less strain on the regulator.

OK, damn.......that's waaaaaay too much light! Those of us with sensitive eyes, often light-blue-eyed peeps, will just have to stay off the roads at night.

Meaning it will be safe for you bright but slow f_ _ _ _ _s to rule the hours tween sundown and sunrise.
