to coat or not to coat
07/23/11 2:46 PM

I'm working on a deal for the ct duals... Would it be a waste of money to get them ceramic coated? I'm moving to Texas and I'm also about to switch to engine ice and Amsoil 10w40 which I heard would help the bike run oooler.

What the coating does is speed the air out. If it coats to keep the heat in, doesn't that say it might be somewhat hotter? Now, is it cooler on the outside? One thing I did and suggest you not do for wight purposes only is use outside wrap. Heavvvvvvvvey!!! Plus, that bike kind of lagged it kept pulling the unspent out, so it does work in a way and is no joke or trick come on.

Oh, and did that make me think if; too much wrap is too much coat? Full coat as opposed to a half coat/1/4 coat, something like that as if it would validate it being a speed adjuster? I'd work that dyno with coat after coat depth/shallow layer.

I'm all about performance and then... comfort... and looks. I haven't seen ceramic coating on a moto gp bike that's why I would lean to your side. I have heard that Jet Hot does Brocks ceramic coating, I'll also check with them hopefully their opinion won't be biased.

Classic Coatings did my CT-Duals, they did two-layer 2,500 outside and race coat (THLB or TLHB whatever it is) on the inside.

They did a great job. This is the 3rd season and they are still looking excellant and showing no pitting or anything. And of course, the coatings make a big difference.

I was looking at my pipes header yterday and man that blueish titanium is beautiful. I'm in love. I'll see how cool I can get just with the engine ice and amsoil, I may add a fan and if the temp is still to high I may get the coat especially if I can squeeze a cple extra hp!

Privateer how many bars u get in traffic on a 90 deg day?

Heavvvvvvvvey!!! Plus, that bike kind of lagged it kept pulling the unspent out, so it does work in a way and is no joke or trick come on.

Hub! You do experiment! Lol

I'm at midpoint while moving, 2 short of the top sitting in traffic, on a 90 degree, 75% humidity day.
