Just made a camera mount, idea came to me on my ride today. Got some crazy awesome pics on my way up Apache mountain, wish I had gotten a video of the curves and scenery while riding. Picked up a Contour HD camera (a few, actually, for presents) for $99 at the BX last weekend, all specs similar to GoPro3, so I was happy. The materials were purchased at Home Depot for $2, uses a 1/4" bolt (2.5"), a nut, few washers, neoprene washer. Drill a 1/4" hole through the frame slider...presto! Firm mount! Might try it out tomorrow if weather is good.

Very creative, my man. I noticed you said "BX". Which AFB are you stationed? I was at Cannon from 2001-2003. That's where I bought my first bike. Had to do something to cheer me up. LOL!!

Haha, I'm at Holloman...Alamogordo is a backwards, 1-Walmart town full of unbelieveably odd-looking people. Great for raising a family, not so much if you're single and like to socialize at clubs. Great terrain, though, if you don't mind the 35mph speed limits everywhere.

Run how do you like the Conture camera???? I was thinking of getting one for my kid when he's racing his kart and steal it for my rides.....

Haven't shot any video yet, but seems really well-built. Waterproof too, but I put the case on the Christmas List just in case. Put a 64GB class 10 card in it so I should be able to shoot plenty of video...getting cold and dark here pretty quickly nowadays so hopefully soon I'll get to test it out.
