I guess the size is not indicated on the web site. The ZX9 and ZX7 they list as 12mm. Can anyone tell me the size thread they used for spools?

Also, Is there any problem fastening Pit Bull spools to the bike? I have heard of people having to grind some spools down on the edge to get them on -- I guess that may be necessary because the rounded contour of the swingarm doesn't allow the spool to tighten flush to the mount.

rook 10mm heres the ones u need they are tapered to clear the swingarm zx9 and the 14 are the same size i swap mine back and forth till i get another set

^^Thanks. Looks like that would work. I'm not crazy about the extra 3/8" the spool has to hang out and the flat shoulder that is supposed to tighten against the swingarm won't be touching. I'm sure it would be fine though. I might even just pick up a couple 10 mm bolts and screw those in without the spools.

without that xtra 3/8" though the stand srapes the side of the swingarm. id be afraid just using the bolts that they would bend or snap off

^^^Yea, I was thinking the same thing last night. It probably isn't worth the risk if you couldn't hook the bolts really close to the swingarm.

yea and if you look at it the threads are back in from the outside of the swingarm thats why you need the tapered spools

Thanks Scott. Good suggestion and I got a little bargain off your ebay link too. I tried my Vertical Horizon spools with my forward handle Pit Bull stand today and they work great. They are easy to see and the lift forks are no harder to engage than with Pit Bull spools. The VH spools are a little on the large side as appearance goes but they are sliders as well as spools. They would match well with those slider posts that some have mounted inside of the triangular shaped hole in the side fairings.
