Hi guys, two simple questions, is there a California version of the 14R with all the charcoal canisters and other B.S. on it? Also on the black red version, are the red stripes on the side pannesls stickers? are they clear coated over?

Hey Tainted,

Yes there is a CA. Only version, all the libtards out here with their global warming crap etc ... Don't get me started LOL !

Don't know about the red grills, but it saw a picture of a matte black one, with flat black grills off one of the other models, and it looks SWEET !!!!!!

I'll try and find the picture ....

Yes there is a cliforia only version zx14 all years with all the BS on it. I have one a 2012 Green one. I seen the 2014 flat black one at the San Mateo Moto bike show. The flat black one has the grills painted with red strips.. no tape..The decals and lettering on the tank is clear coated over. The decales on the fairings can be removed.

TaintedTatoo, I swapped the red striped side panels with a red 2013's flat black ones. The swapped panels I traded
were gloss black with painted red stripes, same color red as on brake calipers. I also removed the red striping on wheels.

I 'thought' my 2013 14R was a Cali model...because of the factory 'behind the right front fairing' canister. It isn't.The canister comes factory. With purge valve(electric).I attempted to disable it....got a continuous yellow 'check engine' lamp...so I re-enabled the whole thing.

Aren't riders in CA prohibited from installing aftermarket exhausts too?

That would suck.

Grn14 you can remove the canister and loopback or plug the hoses. You have to leave the air valve switch connected or you will get an error light. Removed my evap canister cause it was a pain when taking of plastics and couldn't get to radiator cap easily.

Yeah there is a new law about installing after market pipes on 2013 and up bikes..some places wont sell certain aftermarket pipes in cali unless they have cats in them..sucks

Yea, the state extortionists sued Vance and Hines and got $500,000 in "fines" ....
California bureaucrats have fined the motorcycle aftermarket and OEM industry over $7 million within the past 12 months for CARB related violations.

Farking assholes, I hate this liberal shithole, trying to find a way out before I go postal on some of these liberal assholes ....

Sorry guys, rant is over .....
