No Change for the 14 in 2010
08/27/09 7:42 AM

New models released in Australia

http://www.kawasaki.com.au/kawpublic_docs/PRESSRELEASE-New2010KawasakiModelsHaveBurstOntotheScene.pdf

I have no idea what our colors will be in Canada and teh US but the bike will be the same as 2009!

No upgrading this year! Guess the economy won out!

Metallic BLACK and crimson RED...
As far as changes, look at the rear winker casting inside the tail side panel. It gives the casting years ahead is my guess.

That's great news- I won't have to resist the urge to get a new zx14 for another 12 months!

I think you're going to see a lot more of this in the future, the days of major revamps on two year cycles may be over .....for good. Kawasaki and Honda both were talking about getting out of MotoGP, this economic downturn is severe, worst since 1930..get ready. Good news, no need to trade in every two years, old model's the same as the new one and that's a good thing, did you see the sticker on the new 14, $19,999? Got to be a typo, nobody in there right mind is gonna pay that kind of cash for a 14.

19K may have been for Aussie dough. I'd jump on a BMW if I saw the 14 for 20K-plus out the door.

^^Had to be a typo. Anyway, there's plenty 08s available still so why go with a 2K10? I think they could have gone with just red for the 2K10 because you can get a new ZX-10 in 6 dif colors right now without the new colors.

I knew they weren't going to make any big changes and this makes me very happy. Suzuki will follow suit, you watch. Might as well just turbo the bike you have and get your use out of it.

+1 bring back the red!

BTW $19,999 aussie dollars = $16,611 USD at current exchange rate.....still pricey!

Hub i can't believe you are going over to the dark side. If price is an issue then the busa will end up costing more because imo you get less bike then with the 14 no matter what year zx. Unless your strictly a drag racer the 14 is just overall a better ride. Now how you gonna hack that code in the abstract. lol! I'm just messin with ya Hub................Bill,

I'm going to the Dealer show come Dec or whenever it is. I'm just going for a few hours of entertainment. Be hard to get me off a bike like this one and step down in power. I've been on ill handling piles that go fast. Hard to beat both a handler and a power plant is still plant my ass on the 14 or it's next gen.

Anyone comes out with something faster..... Would you stay on this bike? I am loyal to speed, not brand. Eye have cash waiting.

Kawi may be celebrating 25 years of the Ninja, I've stopped racing that long ago too. I swapped bikes almost every year just to be competitive in class. So, 25 years ago, I bring up that same old story. I took front row for the second time on that year bike, lead my race for a little while, knowing I was going to retire that day. So, second place behind some famous rider/family/H-D dealer type is type that up to my memory bank is swap out the hardware for the front line bike of the day. Hard to break old habits they say.
AS long as I feel like I can hold onto the world's fastest at my age, I'm on it like shit on Donny.

Thats it, $19,999 is what we pay for the beast down here, plus on road costs rego, tax, insurance etc

could be as high a $21,000. But most bikes would sell for about $18,000 ride away .

Not cheap, Set of Mitch PR2's $520.00 4 liters motul semi syn $58.00 full syn $100.00

Will want more new bling to buy new one again. maybe 2011

$19,999?? Didn't realize we had it so good over here. Enjoy it lads, with the U.S. dollar falling like a gut shot turkey, things are going to get expensive. Stock up on motorcycles while you can!

HAHAHA Hubster!!! the Aussie price has lots of state tax built into the price. Yeah, ditto on the 2 yr cycle being slowed down. I have heard Honda is slowing the CBR1K cycle a bit, no confirmation yet...and yes, economy is in the tank thanks to our masters; The Bilderburgers who said two or three years ago that they were going to crash the US economy to buy up cheap land, properties, homes etc. I say it's time for a good Revolution again in the US, throw out the Jews, Arabs, Chincks, etc. HAHAHA, no, then I'd be a bigot. Actually, we need to limit something around here, somethings got to change, and Obamamomma ain't bringing it! Oh hell, just bring 2012 Dec 21 when the Aliens return to earth! Some will say it's Jesus, some will say Aliens etc.

I've heard the same thing, the Bildebergs are behind the current mess to wreck the world economy and Obama is their tool. If he ain't, he's doing a pretty good job all on his own! This should be the geatest transfer of wealth in history. Remember the French Revolution? One thing they seem to forget is how many Americans own guns. If....or should I say, when it gets bad enough, I wouldn't want to be in a Bildeberg's fancy John Lobb shoes. Historically, small arms fire has had no problem crossing class lines.

Talking to my Kawastealer today, he said he expects to see bikes go up $700 - $1000 for 2010. He said that they have to go up in price because they are not going to make as many of them. Typically when a manufacturer can produce a high volume, the cost per unit is lower and so it is possible to sell to the buyer at a lower price. When the demand isn't there (and it isn't) the manufacturer has to produce less and the cost to manufacture each unit goes up. Raw materials are more expensive and so is shipping. Everything is more expensive. Yeah, buy your new bike now if you dare spend your money at all.

Well, I am just going to hang on to my red 06. I like the red 06 better than any other model. And mine is still show room condition with only 4500 miles on it. I ride my Harley on long road trips so it keeps my 14 on the low mileage side.
