Subtle but much better. The huge cans don't stand out and catch the eye as much. Careful prep with degreaser. Soap and water. Dry. Rustoleum black high temp paint and several patient coats on heel guards and both exhaust covers. Tidies it up nicely I think.

No prob! I keep going out to the garage and looking at her! Big improvement! The eye doesn't 'catch' on the accent parts that make her look so bulky. I love it. I like her kinda stealthy. When I do swap exhausts the new ones must be black or CF. and must have quiet inserts that make em quiet. From behind she looks much less massive.

For sure Carbon Fibre C, for sure...there should be no other consideration. I love my CF Yosh. Had I got hit by the money tree, I would have considered the fs Brock. But I am truly happy with what I got.

At least now your stock canons (which I thought was a sweet looking pipe before your paint) have unique touches that compliment the bike. They look nice as is man...now painted awesome actually.

ps Sir comment to me, hillarious man, lol

Thanks for the inspiration Cblast. After I bathed and wax the bike today I decided to paint mine as well. I didn't pay any attention to the color I used and it ended up being a bit more flat than I meant for it to be but it still looks way better than it did.

I'm trying to decide if I should have them powder coated or find someone near me who would like to trade. I'd probably be better off powder coating cause I quite sure I've got the only zx14r within 100 mile radius of me, I live in the center of a large rural area. That's half the reason I bought it, I didn't want the same bike as everybody else and I knew it would piss people off in my community cause they are all diehard cruiser riders around here. Personally I'll ride anything, even fat chicks.

I just reinstalled mine. I had the bike up for a quick oil, filter and tire change. I used a high temp semi gloss engine paint. It looks incredible on there.
The down side, the paint I used was a mistake. I put on 5 coats over a 3 day period and it chips off if I look at it crossways. I will remove them and start over as soon as I have a little time. I will also post up exactly which paint I used so no one else has to deal with this do over either.

Motorcycles are perfectly safe, as long as you don't fall off and you don't get hit by anything...
