Concourse seat
08/10/10 3:08 PM

Hope you guys can help me. I bought a Concourse seat for my ZX. I took the bracket off my ZX seat and mounted it to the Concourse seat. No problems....love it...so does the wife.

Problem is ...where or what is the part number for the ZX 14 seat bracket. I don't want to have to keep switching that front bracket. I've looked on multiple parts fiches online and none show a part number for that bracket ????

Nope....the latch itself is sold WITH the seat.Ninjamaster on this forum was setting up to produce those brackets....I know he had ONE extra made...but as far as MORE....that was his plan.Don't know if he ever finalized production.Might PM him and see.If yer mechanically inclined,it could be made fairly easily using your stocker as a template. No reason you couldn't substitute the lock prongs with appropriate sized bolts and do a bit of custom grinding work on the lock ends.Cutting the mount plate should be quite simple as well.Probably turn one out for $5.00 or less?I'm not switching back and forth...not now.But if I was...I'd just make my own.No need that it be "factory" stock.

Rico,do what I did, Google for a Concourse 14 forum and go to ZG/GTR fanatics, they have a Wanted topic under Marketplace. Post to see if anybody wants to trade hardware (a lot of concourse 14 riders are buying ZX14 seats.)it only cost me shipping about $2.00 for express mail.

Any idea why the concourse riders are buying zx14 seats? I'm hunting for something alot more comfortable for long distances, cant imagine why they would want to go in the opposite direction comfort wise?

The ergos are quite different between the two...that's all I can think of.I've heard some complaints about"not being able to slide around" on the concours seat cause it's too soft. Not for my arse it aint!I slide around just fine!Friggin stock 14 seat bout had me in the hospital after an hour!! Was thinkin I might need an ass replacement.Geez...WHAT was Kawi thinkin when they created that torture rack?Guess they knew the Connie seats would be flyin off the shelves! They're quite imaginative, those orientals(and [no offense]they've got, well, small backsides.Shit...they set our bikes up for a 150 lb rider. What's that tell ya! .Now if they'd only offer the latch plate....???????????????????

Love the Concourse seat....do what I'm doing...HAVE 2 SEATS! The stocker with tailsection is definitly sportier looking!! For any distance the C14 seat is highly recommended!!! The wife likes it much better too.
