I stop in at the dealer yesterday just to look at the new 14's again and there is the green, blue and black. I was maybe drooling a little bit when the sales guy came over and asked what I rode in. Told him a 2008 14 with 4500 miles and was just on a sight seeing tour. While I was checking out the 2012 another salesman goes out to gander at my bike then comes back in to talk to the other sales guy. I just keep looking to see what might interchange with my 2008 parts for grins.
Salesman asks how serious I am about a 2012 and I tell him I have a good running 2008 with little miles that is paid for so it is hard to be thinking about a new one. The 2012 is priced at 15 and he said he would come down 1500 plus work with me on my bike. Told him mine would go completely back to stock before it went for sale or trade if I wanted a 2012 and that is where the talk ended.

Looking at part numbers there may be many parts that could come off mt 2008 to a 2012 -- if I was interested.

I was looking on the net and it says the new black ones are metallic but I will be darned if I saw anything cept plain gloss black but maybe my chrome wheels would spice it up a bit. Tomorrow I am going back out there to see if my eyes failed me (not uncommon anymore) and there really is some flake in it. I am not a fan of green but of what is offered on the 2012's it looks the best. The black looks so plain the it makes the blue look good and my 2008 with the flake in it puts the 2012 black and blue to shame (my opinion).

Long story short is if they offered anything halfway decent on my 2008 in all stock condition I am afraid I would just have to beg the wife for forgiveness when I rode a new bike home.

It is hard to want to get rid of this
