Cycle, is it the standard height or the low version?

Steven, it is the standard height.

Cyclejunkie - I'm really curious what your copilot thinks about the seat. Definitely post up a review after ya'll try it out on a warmer day. I'm 6'5" so I naturally sit a little farther back than most so as long as this seat is quite a bit more comfortable for the copilot, this seat may be what we're looking for.

Chris, never made it out of the 50's yesterday, low 30's this morning..This week should be better, I'll get back to you after we take a longer ride.
I'm 6', so I'm sure it will suit you and your copilot better.

Seats are SUCH a subjective thing. Each person has their own completely unique physical parameters and personal needs. I cannot imagine paying that kind of coin for a seat unless it was custom carved for ME.

I'm surprised more people don't make their own seats. Foam carving isn't that big of a deal, and you can find excellent upholstery people that can do amazing work around.

Personally I am waiting until I can afford a C14 seat

Kiabosh, I agree. Originally, I was going that route, with the C14 seat, and I still may. But with the discount the seat wasn't much more than the C14. Especially since I would have to source the mounting hardware, which isn't sold separately. And Sargent offers a 30 day money back policy. No restocking fees, unless it's custom.
I really like the look of the cowl. So when I'm solo i want to be able to just swap seats and not have to deal with installing it. The stock seat is fine for me when solo, because I can change position easier and more often.
The 14 has become the "taxi of choice" for baseball, track and music practice. Everybody whats a ride(3 kids)
So, there's a whole lot a swappin' goin' on...

My Sargent seat just showed-up in the warehouse.
About 15 days early. It's looking good. I will post pics and seat of the pants impression asap.

This is one time a "seat of the pants impression" is particularly appropriate...

Looking forward to your thoughts, Steven. I'm thinking about getting one of these. -bg

Yep, I do owe you guys a report. The fit and finish are great, including well made molded base with small storage compartment. The top finish compares to Corbin, however, the bottom molded part would by far exceed quality of Corbin fiberglass bases. So far, I have taken it for 110 mile solo ride. The comfort is excellent, no pressure points in my rear end during the entire trip. It is little softer than Corbin I have on my ZX-11. The seating position compares to stock, however, the rear support is moved forward and can be used to help distribute the weight and also help to hold the position under heavy acceleration. On the stocker I never sat that far back to feel it, unless I stretched way far back. The leather surface actually permits easier sliding for turn-in leaning compared to stock.
As of now I have not taken my other half for a ride and I can not report her impression. I will endeavor to take her out as soon as possible.
My initial impression: I am satisfied with the acquisition. Now I just hope my occasional pillion will be also.

Miner, the compartment is about the size of the existing toll storage, however, it has wedge shape, which is rather more limiting. The oem toolbox does not have to be removed. I never tried Connie seat. Lastly, I have taken pictures, just to find out that my son re-set the camera for black & white photography , which will do no justice. Will have to take new set of pics.
