After much deliberation I finally settled on a pipe for my 14r; an Akra Evo gen one pipe in full titanium. I like the look, the weight, and the results I've seen from Ivan. I'll post up more during the installation and ultimately some dyno results when I figure out my tuning options.

I installed the pipe today along with a coolant & oil change. The pipe went on pretty easy buy I did have to tweak two header studs that were splayed a hair to wide for one of the flanges. The pipe also required a bit of manipulation to fit together right. It's a hell of a good looking pipe though and sounds excellent.

I don't have any tuner or flash and it seems to break up a bit in the mid-range @ 8000rpm. I'm seeing about a 10 degree drop on temps.

That looks real nice. I recently heard an Akra on a 2012 ZX14r and I can't believe how quiet it is. Ivan makes a great map for that pipe but you would need a PC5. That would take care of your 8000 rpm drop off as well.

A old member from here Romans has the same pipe, but non titanium. It is a very quiet exhaust - He shortened his can to give it a bit more bark, and for looks. Very nice setup. And yes, with the ivans map ... expect around 202ish horse at the back tire on STD scale. Roll ons with Akra vs. my Hindle are near identical with a nod going to akra for slight bottom end advantage, and nod to hindle for a slight top end advantage - though almost imperceptible. Awesome pipe!

Thanks for the comments/feedback. I saw the cut-down version of this pipe and it looks great but to me the big silencer compliments this barge of a bike. The sound is perfect to avoid attention. I should have my tuning options sorted shortly and then I'll get some dyno time.

Nice choice on the Akra EVO exhaust.

My 2008 with the Akra EVO makes 190 rwhp with a PCIII and custom tune. The complete exhaust with the carbon fiber cannister weighs just over 7 pounds.

I put in a brock's gen2 flashed ecu and a pcv this weekend and it really rock and rolls now. I'm using the map for a R55 4into1 but I'll get it dyno-tuned eventually.
