I say lose it. I can't tell any dif with or without. You will have to remove the throttle bodies if you want to remove the condom undamaged but if you don't mind mutilating it, just cut the pieces that pass between the bores with a snipper. You could prolly buy a used one in perfect shape for cheap off of Ebay.
While your at it, might as well remove these:
PAIR
Remove the helmet lock on the LH side too.
Take off mirrors. Install mirror blocks.
The battery tray doesn't do anything but hold the battery so ou could remove that along with the guide. Secure the battery with zip ties somehow.
Remove the LH side subframe and tail subframe. Tutorial in progress. I haven't tested this yet but I think it's okay if you aren't bottoming out shocks ever.

Boot acts as a noise 1)emission cover.
Boot acts as a 2)barrier to the ram so the air remains somewhat cold and condensed-wink-wink.
The aluminum hoodie over ram under the tank is so the tank's 3)gas remains cooler and condensed.
Hi-performance all thought out for you w/accssories.
