SCHNAZ-EE! Is that a Penske external shock reservoir I see under the tail? I also like the external brake fluid reservoir. Nice touch. I've been planning to do that on mine as well.

Looks Great Bob! How much weight did you cut with the wheels?

Thanks for that pic, bob. That's mighty purty! I already have an Ohlins installed in about the same place but the reservoir is parallel to the back of the frame rather than the bottom of the frame.

I see you have the rear brake fluid reservoir mounted to the front passenger foot peg bracket bolt. I was considering doing the same thing but instead, using a long screw that sticks out about 10mm inside the frame. Then the reservoir bracket could be fastened inside the frame with a nut on the end of that screw. I'm trying to keep it tucked in for heel clearance but the swingarm might hit the reservoir if the rear suspension compresses enough.

#1 Does your heel touch the brake fluid reservoir? I see you have lowered pegs. Mine are raised.

#2 Do you think the swing arm could compress enough to hit the reservoir if it is positioned inside the frame as I described above?

#3 What diameter tygon tubing did you use? The nipple on my reservoir looks a lot smaller than the fitting that goes to the master cylinder. Did you do some kind of a stepdown?

#4 If the tubing from the reservoir dips a bit lower than the fitting to the master cylinder, the fluid will have to get pumped against gravity a half inch or so. This couldn't make a whole lot of difference for fluid pressure, do you think?

Rook
#1 No my heel doesn't interfere with the master cylinder.
#2 It could possibly hit with the way that the nipple on the reservoir protrudes downward that's why I mounted it that way. Also the bracket that I fabricated is mounted the same way you were thinking of doing yours from the back side and is stepped out to be flush with the outside mounting bolt.
#3 I used the stock tubing it is stepped at the master cylinder. just leave it connected at that end and cut it to the length desired.
#4 If you look closely you will see that its not lower than the fitting on the master cylinder its over an inch above it. braking is firmer with all that extra tubing gone. hope this helps. THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS Rook!

Thanks, Bob. That will help a great deal when I get to this project. My other concern is heat off of my exhaust. It is not a sidewinder like yours so the muffler will run just a few inches away. Hopefully the heat won't affect braking power.
