Need Your help in Kawasaki Zero to Hero Challenge
03/30/12 9:31 AM

ZX 14 Forum members, I need your help in Kawasaki's Zero to Hero Challenge. I am currently in the semi finalist round posted on Kawasaki's website. The eight semi finalists are vying for four spots to have an opportunity to go to Las Vegas and attend Rickey Gadson's drag racing school and compete against one another to earn a shot at racing Rickey for a new ZX 14R!

I have been drag racing my Z1000 at test and tune nights as well as my KZ based Drag Bike that my Father and I have put together. Attending the drag racing school and having a chance to compete for a zx14R would be an opportunity of a lifetime for me. If you can, please take a moment to vote for me. You can vote once per day and any additional votes for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I entered that but heard nothing.I used to race my Z1000 at test and tunes. That was a handful off the line.Wheelied all the way in first and pulled both hamstrings.
Good Luck Craig

Thanks for the support guys, I'll definitely keep you posted. Voting is getting tight, hopefully I can make it to the final four.

You are right about drag racing a Z1000. The first 60 feet is frustrating to say the least. You have to rev it sky high and try to slip the clutch in hopes that you do not get the front wheel to high in the air.

I had an opportunity to ride a ZX14 last year and it didn't take long for me to realize what a great platform it is to drag race. Hopefully I can get an opportunity to have a shot at competing for one in the zero to hero challenge. Either way, it definitely makes me want to part ways with my old school drag bike and convert to the 14.

Thanks,

LaDon
