Headlights?

Hi All

Member from the uk here! Sort of a weird question I guess!!

Have bought a smashed 2012 Gen2 ZX14R (zzr1400 in uk) and aim to bring it back to life. Its had a front end smash and the headlights have had most of the lugs broken off. I have tried sticking them on with JB weld but thats a no go as they break off again as soon as I fit them to the bike.

There are very rarely any 2012 Gen2 headlights on e-bay but plenty of Gen1's. My question is, can I buy a pair of Gen1 headlights, split them (as each headlight is in two parts), and fit the backs off the Gen1 light (that has all the lugs on, to the front of the Gen2's? Are they a straight swop?

dont use JB weld use quick set epoxy, it will hold I currently have some holding on sometabs on my 97 zx9 and its been on there for 10 years or more, not hard to work with and easy to use. don't know if you have the kind that comes in the syringe type tube like in our Autozone (you can get it off line) but dries clear, paintable and strong as hell!

Full Muzzy, flies out,K&N, black wind screen, pc3, pm wheels, blue led gauges and lights, scorpip alarm, roaring toyz kickstand and lowering links, tinted turn sigs.

I'd worry gen one would not fit as the R's integrated cluster is a one piece unit. No sure if the Frankenstein will work for you. If it does, please let us know, now I am curious...
