Proper torque, Loctite, and remember to put the thin plastic spacers back inbetween the rotors and wheels. Also, I have a cheapo front stand that lets the forks kinda squeeze together when the wheel is removed. When I use that stand, I have a 2x4 cut to width to prevent this from happening. Not necesary with a good stand.

What rotors did you get? Can you weigh 'em before you mount 'em?

Thanks Dogo!Awesome.Haven't weighed em...they are pretty lite though....lighter than the stockers for sure.My baby's now got her oil changed, full tank,Stabil, waxed and cleaned, oiled chain. She's almost ready.Next week....rotor/pad change.Redid my seat AGAIN.Turned out REALLY GOOD.Took my time last night.Shaved er down to a comfortable(and LOW)maximum.Rode er today to he fuel station.Felt REALLY REALLY good.Lowest I've had er yet,but extremely comfy.Removed the two ridges that go along the pilot area along the sides(the seat pan).Doing that,I was able to really mold the seat in there.Gonna be a good new season comin up,God allowing.

Thanks again you all for another awesome year on this forum.Lots of new guys....great inputs and fun.Glad yer back Dogo...and any others that took a hiatus for a bit.

You guys that can still ride...keep postin and all...and be careful out there...14's just ROCK baby!

Nice. How many trouble free miles do you have on that thing now? I know you have a lot. Makes me optimistic that the new Big Ninja will do me better than the last. My new Carrozzeria's for the new bike were dropped off this mornin'. Reason I ask about the brand and weight of your rotors is I'm thinkin' about gettin' new rotors for the new wheels... if I can find some reasonably priced and lighter than stock. I know most after markets for our bike are thicker, and therefore heavier, than the stockers.

Well, right now I've got right at 42,800 miles. This bike has really been amazing to me.Those really are trouble free miles. And I've ridden her pretty aggressively as well.

These EBC rotors are quite light.I think their website gives the weight.I didn't really check that out though.IF you buy the two rotors, they'll throw in a 4 pad set of their HH sintered pads to go with the deal. The pads are $85.00 just themselves. So if you can,you might consider doin that.Naturally,I couldn't wait to get my fundage up for two rotors($249.00[price with shipping] each),so I ended up payin separate for the pads. It's cool...keeps the economy rollin along hopefully.I don't know...MAYBE....you could talk to the guy at EBC...tell him yer gonna get two rotors, maybe a week apart or somethin, and see if he'll throw in the pads for ya.Might be worth a phone call or E-Mail?

Tough to find bike specific weight on rotors... even if you call the manufacturer... anyhoo, dug up an old thread where a forum member already weighed the EBC's for me.
