Can anyone compare the saddlemen tech seat to the sargent seat? Is one is more comfortable?

The seat cowl will fit on the Saddlemen. Will not fit a cowl with the Sargent.

I like my Saddlemen techstyle seat just fine.

Only problems, it has a small gap at the back. Not visible unless you run without the cowl on. Not too noticable IMO. ALso, I would have preferred it to be longer....they lowered the back of the seat and brought the sitting position forward. I can still sit all the way back but it is not comfortable to sit that way for long.

If you don't mind losing the passenger seat, you can get the Sargent modular, and skip their trunk section. Great storage area under the cowl.

Jordan I searched and it didn't bring up your thread. Rook you ever sat on a sargent? Alg8er I really like that look, all the time I owned my 14, I never had a passenger.

A little off topic, but if you don't care about the rear cowl, buy a Concours stock seat nice and comfy. All you have to do is swap your stock seat hardware, (2 nuts) and off you go. That what I rode 1500 miles on in 4.5 days.

I did put my stock back on when I got home, but hey for $100 bucks it was so WORTH it. Just hit any concurs site in the for sale section.

Omega2k, the looked bothered me with the concurs seat, also sat a lil higher. I bought a saddlemen tech seat like rook, put it on last saturday and took a 4 hour ride Lafayette, LA to Houston to Katy, Texas then back to Lafayette the next day. ROOK, does the saddlemen tech seat needs to be broken in?? If so how long?

I had a concours14 and I thought the seat was horrible. I replaced it with a Sargent and it was perfect. For some reason my stock zx14 seat feels fine.
